Selling free range eggs

Hi all,

My 15 year old nephew has about 20 hens and ducks and has been selling eggs to friends and family and now he wants to get load more hens and sell the eggs from the house or door to door.

I doubt it would be this straight forward which is the reason for my post, would he have to be registered or licensed etc before he could sell them in the way he wants.

Fair play to him he's young and driven to make a few bob for himself but dont want him getting in trouble with any authority.

Like any food types there needs to be regulation and registration. The Gov. have to get their share somewhere!!
I know a local hardware that sells eggs from under the counter...hush hush
