Oh I had one of those in second year. Awful. You'll get through it, though, if you prepare in advance. Try and make sure, as soon as you can, that all your notes and stuff are in order so you don't have to be rooting through folders and crap at the last minute. And really try to get a good amount of sleep each night. You've to do a bit of a marathon here and your head will be totally melted. It's not like you can pull an all-nighter and recover for a day or two. Sleep is vital. In bold!

I love my exam timetable! All of my exams within one week almost, finished on the 18th and my birthday is on the 23rd. Nice! I was just hoping I'd be finished before then. :)

That happened me one year too. Seven exams is bloody mental. When I was in final year I only had four, and it was the first time I ever had less than six, I was hopping around the place with excitement!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,604 ✭✭✭xOxSinéadxOx

I had 8 exams last semester, with 6 of those in a row, so the 3 this semester is looks like a walk in the park :) last exam on the 20th then finished college forever, will be weird!

    so who's nervous... I am :(

I hate these summer exams. More stuff to cover, less than half the time to study. Finish classes and then exams only a week later. I hate it. Always feel so much better about the crimbo ones... like I can go in and actually do my best because I've had enough time to prepare. The summer ones, on the other hand, don't feel like a test of what a person knows or understands, but more like a test of how well you can cram. Well... that's my opinion anyway.

I feel confident about Maths. Biology I'm going back and forth on.

2 exams on the first day.. One at 9.30 and the other at 3.30. And they're my worst modules..

    FÚCK

    6 altogether (2 on the 10th, 13th, 14th, 16th and 20th)

Not enough time to study, especially when you still have assignments and tests in the last week of lectures. Not feeling too confident.

Yeah feck these exams anyway, plenty of assignments and write ups and supposed to be studying on top of that, only getting real work done now and it's a week before. Surely a better system could be thought up?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 965 ✭✭✭Doctor Strange

And now I have an MCQ tomorrow. Beautiful >_<

Here's a very useful link for the exams... contains the modules you are doing for the exam and links to exam papers for each year of your exam modules http://themusictree.net/nuim-exams/

The site originates from a Computer Science MINDS society member that includes his full name in the site header.

Not saying it's completely safe. But at least you know who might have a decrypted version of your log in details :D

I read 'Giraffes' instead of 'Graphs' and immediately thought: I need a holiday. Someday I will go to http://www.giraffemanor.com/ - obviously when I get rich with my incredibly useful ancient history qualifications.

Yeah didn't put my student no. and password into that thing, too much info about me can be accessed with those details. Would be easier to put in year of study and subjects surely?

What does it do ? Just show exam papers?

It aggregates the exam papers by subject & year, also how many days until your next exam, when it's on and how many days between exams you have.

That looks pretty cool. If it could be made properly secure I think it'd be a much better alternative to the current set up... everything in one place, no multiple clicks and two websites.

Just wondering anyone who has done 1st year English in the past, how difficult are they to pass (EN153: Fiction) and (EN154: Drama). I haven't gotten my EN153 Essay back, it's worth 50% but probably got 50-60% in it i'd imagine (or hope)

Not looking forward to Evo Biology. Sucks even worse that you have calculus afterwards. :pac::pac:

You'll be fine. I've ODEs on Monday, which is calculus on steroids.

    There's always compensation.

I'm thinking I might be relying on that for integration meself :(.

I thought I was prepared. Nothing fancy. But equiped to tackle one or two of the problems with ease. Then I turned the paper over. It was like Detta knew all of my weaknesses and designed the paper around them :p
