Special treatment for lookers...

Do good looking people get treated better then unattractive people?
Clearly the answer is yes and clearly it's unfair but I was wondering if ugly people feel hard done by on account of this.

Last night for example, i was in a cocktail bar with 2 of my friends who would not be considered good looking. They were given their drinks right away whereas the barman spent 15 minutes preparing mine swinging bottles over his head, soaking my cherries in amaretto and asking me where i'm from etc. I got two drinks but he only charged me for one.

I know that looks are subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder but are empirically attractive people treated differently and why is this?

How am i deluded...you don't know what i look like and weren't in the bar with me last night. This is one of many examples. Good looking people get treated better....it's just a fact unfair as it may be

I'd prefer to get my drink immediately rather than having to wait 15 minutes for it... maybe it was your friends getting the special treatment.

How is it obvious? How do you know if anything anyone says on boards is true at all? I just wanted my stupid drink but the guy was clearly trying to impress me and spent an age preparing the thing. It was quite nice in fairness but it definitely took 15-20 minutes ffs.

I usually have to wait half an hour for the barman to prepare my gin and tonic. I'm obviousy twice as good looking as you OP.

What was the name of the bar?

    What was the cocktail?

    How much did it cost?

It's true. He asked me if i wanted it sweet or sour and if i preferred vodka or rum and then he spent ages crushing ice and soaking the cherries and he even carved a lime and put the shavings on top. I just wanted my drink but he honestly took a good 15 minutes making the damn thing!
