Sean Quinn's daughter spent 100k on a wedding cake? Is that true?

Yes I believe it involved flying the cake and the decorator over from New York a week before the wedding to decorate the cake.

    Edit.
    Sylvia Weinstock iirc

I don't like Vogue's engagement ring, it looks vulgar.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

    Vogue's ring is stupid size

Ummmm. A little bit severe IMO so I would have to say no.

But I like her. I think shes funny. And smart :)

    No amdub!

She mentioned at the start of the programme that by the time the programme would be aired she would be closer to her wedding day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

I thought that was Mairead Farrell initially :pac:

Jennifer has a fab figure, I think a simple dress would suit her best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

    Dresses so far: Meh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Wow! I love the mermaid dress, it's fab.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

I'd like that mermaid dress cut just above the knee :)

I like short casual wedding dresses :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,653 ✭✭✭✭amdublin

Wedding dresses IMO: pure waste of money!

She's seems quite pretty if she didn't do that thing with her eyes and tries to be natural.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,696 ✭✭✭Lisha

Her friend was not able to show much emotion . . .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

I wore a similar dress (the mermaid/lace dress) for my wedding so I'm a bit biased.

How about a paper bag instead of a veil..

Brides do become obsessed that everyone enjoys their day the best.

What they don't realise is no really cares!!! Your day is important to you and no one else.

Sorry, just my opinion. (and COMPLETELY true :D)

Ah, it is pretty important to your loved ones too.

Yes, your are right. It is probably important to about 20 others. To everyone else it's just another wedding.

Sorry MrsD, I speak the truth on this one :pac:

I stayed in the hunting lodge of Castle Leslie for a weekend. Someone told a ghost story in the bar on the first night and I didn't relax all weekend :(

I think she comes across quite nervous and not as self assured as she normally is.
For the record, I got married 2 years ago and not one of the bridal shops I visited gave me a glass of champagne yet on this and Don't Tell the Bride, they seem to throw the champagne around.
Sorry just had to vent there - so just beware, unless you bring a tv camera with you, some shops wont give you champers!!!

I suppose I'm a romantic, I really enjoy weddings, I take in and savour every little detail but I have to say my favourite weddings have been the small low key ones.

    Aww that's nice :o

I'm a realist. For me I find them all just a pure waste of money :(

I was laughing at wedding planner saying Irish mammies can be a night mare
Mine was a bit like that totally panicked about smallest things.
My other 2 sister s did not use our local church do as to minimise the madness :)
I used to say to mam all that's needed is me husband and priest all else is a party used to drive her off her head .

Hmmm .... I dunno, Romance and Wedding Days are very different things, from my experience.

Jennifer is a nice person and a decent presenter, but I'm not sure if this is the best show for her. It seems very contrived.

Was listening to Jen on radio last week with (I think dave fanning ) and she said she still not bride-y at all
She sounded very bemused with all the drama
I like Jennifer too think she can be funny

Are you talking about it from the point of view of the guest or the couple?

I think most people look on a wedding invite as a sort of summons (if it's not a family member or close friend).

I wanted to have a small family wedding in France but I was overruled, Mr. D wanted a big do. We had a great day (or four days :D) but I'd have been just as happy with small family affair.

I don't like the white trim on the Groom's suit.

    Both.

I think you're spot on with the above.

I think as a couple all of it is lovely but I don't need to spend €15k to get that feeling Leanne and her oh are describing right now.
