    Anybody else used these?

    I've tried one tonight.

It's a glycolic peel for your feet apparently.

You put on the socks with solution in them, soak for 90 minutes and apparently over the next week my feet will reveal their peachy softness.

Well worth 3.50 if it does the job.

There was a review of them on Beaut.ie a few days ago seems they do work but it takes a couple of days to see results. I got one at the weekend and have been dying to try it but new ballet pumps cut my heels so im waiting til they heal.
Let us know how you get on.

Used one a few weeks ago - it took a day longer than it said on the back of the pack to work but was pretty satisfying then.

wouldn't say my feet are perfect after it but will definitely get one again

Was just going to start a thread about this.

Working brilliantly for me. Can't believe how much skin is coming off.

How does it happen - does it just fall off?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,390 ✭✭✭Stench Blossoms

Flakes off over the space of a week.

    so satisfying!

Is it similar to Softsole? I bought that but it cost €19.99 and while it did work i wouldnt buy it again at that price. This sounds like the same thing which would be brilliant.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,390 ✭✭✭Stench Blossoms

Yeh I think it's the same this as softsole.

Well not much has come off yet, in fact my feet feel like they could do with a good deep scrubbing with a pumice stone. But maybe that's the tingly stuff still doing its work?

    When did you use it?

    Thursday night.

Mine took a week to start peeling. Give it time.

Sounds great! I need this BAD!

Anyone know if Blanch Penneys have them?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,089 ✭✭✭✭LizT

Picked up a few today, if they're as good as softsole, I'll be very happy. Only used softsole once because it's so expensive.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,126 ✭✭✭Aoifums

I saw Softsole at the end of last summer when it was too late to bother with it. I was planning on using it this year so I'm delighted if the Penneys stuff works.
Just wondering, how gross is the flaking off? My feet aren't that bad but I have nightmarish visions of a ton of skin sloughing off :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,089 ✭✭✭✭LizT

It's not pleasant... You wouldn't want to be wearing sandals while it's happening, that's for sure. It didn't really bother me, I soaked my feet every night and rubbed them gently to help remove the dead skin.

I found the softsole one much better than this one, however, given the price difference I'll definitely use this one again :)

I'd suggest if you buy the penneys one that you watch the tutorials for both soft sole and botanical choice on YouTube.

The soft sole has added items in the pack which you can provide yourself - e.g. Secure it with Sellotape, place socks over the plastic socks etc.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,695 ✭✭✭December2012

Okay it's starting to peel, like a sunburn peel.

    What should I expect tomorrow?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 667 ✭✭✭Cherrycoke

I tried Softsole and my feet didn't peel whatsoever! Feet like leather :D

I'm going to give this version a try though, hopefully it's a bit more potent :p

If this works for me...its a miracle worker. Will try grab some in blanch this evening

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,339 ✭✭✭convert

A friend of mine used this about 10 days ago and said it was great. I just bought a pack this morning, so I'm going to try it this evening, so I'll post back in a few days time to let ye know how I got on. My feet are a disaster at the minute! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 763 ✭✭✭Pistachios & cream

I used this on friday. left them on for about 90 mins and yesterday evening my feet started peeling like mad. my feet were in bits and there were proper calluses coming off.

However my mum did hers on thursday and still no sign of a peel.

I did a good bit of walking yesterday in flat boots so maybe this helped.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 218 ✭✭gossipgirl10

did this on Friday night and still no sign of a peel how long did most people have to wait for the snake effect to start? :)

kinda anxious about it hope you're feet arent really sensitive after all the skin comes off?? :)

This sounds great. I'm going to get it tomorrow.

I'd love to use it but the thought of my skin peeling off like that makes me feel sick! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32 AgathaC

Have to say well done to Penny's and thanks for this tread..
I used it last Saturday and started having great results wed night and yesterday. Plenty of bathing my feet has helped I think.
Won't give gory details but it has worked so far :)

    This.

I love doing this. It was a lot of fun.

I am totally in the snake skin peeling phase at the moment its sickkkk but the skin underneath looks great it really is amazing how much dead skin you have on your feet. I was kinda worried in case the skin underneath would be sensitive but its not at all its still nice tough "foot skin" but looks all nice and new :D definitely worth the €3.50 ladies... but yes be prepared to be grossed out during the peeling phase

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 512 ✭✭✭collegeme

Evenually picked up one this evening. Cant wait to try it. As i said before, if it works on me its a miracle product.

So, just a brief update on this:

I used it on Tuesday evening, and left it on for about 90 minutes. By Thursday evening one foot had started to peel, but the second foot still hasn't started to peel yet! Not sure what that means?!

I bought 2 packets, so I'll wait a while and try again. Maybe this time I'll have a look at that tutorial on youtube before I use the next one. I'll fill ye in when I use it next.

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows if these masks are safe to use with tattoos? I bought one today but I'm a bit wary of using it as I have a tattoo on the top of my foot and I'm worried it might damage it. Says nothing on the pack and can't find any info online. I'd appreciate any advice or opinions. Thanks

I used this last night, left it on for about 90 mins. My feet are really dry and hard today. Can I use moisturiser or will that defeat the purpose.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,981 ✭✭✭ElleEm

Bought one today, gonna use it tonight.

I have really hard skin on my feet as I HATE wearing shoes, so hopefully it will work!

Used one last Friday morn and it only started this morn, rang mummy and baby yoga to see if I need to bring anything and they told me no and that I'll be doing it barefoot....uh! No! Had to cancel lol

    Ooo this sounds great!

I tried a quick google about using them with tattoos but to no avail.

    Anyone have any problems?

Another update: my second foot started peeling yesterday, a week after I used the foot mask. Definitely has helped my feet - they're much softer already, so will be interesting to see what they're like when the peeling is finished.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,981 ✭✭✭ElleEm

My feet started peeling yesterday, four days after using the mask. I had completely forgotten about it, til I saw all the skin I left behind in the shower. Wore pumps yesterday (with no socks) and when I took them off it looked as if I had been to the beach with all the grainy skin in them! I am surprised at how queasy I am at all the skin falling off. Even now I just have socks on and I can feel the rough skin peeling and rubbing. Ugh!!

I tried to get this in Pennys in Wilton but couldn't find it. Hope to get it the next time I am there. My feet are in a bad state after winter.

I got them in Penneys on O'Connell street about 2 weeks ago and they had loads in stock at that time.
