I made a boo boo registering a calf . I put his date of birth 2 days before I sent off the BVD sample and they sent off a letter telling me they couldnt register him because of my dates . Ill buzz them today but are they sound enough to alter the dates over the phone ?

I doubt it. Any mistakes we have had to fill in a form and send it in. Easy enough to make an error!

It sure is but this mistake was because I was lazy . One of the boys burst the laptop so I was late registering him . The night I was doing it then I just guesstimated his DOB instead of checking the book . Ill double check the next one !

And the original Kovu might give her a run for her money round the office. He is a 6kg cat after all. And not in a very good mood as he has to wear a bandage round his tummy.

Cleaning squid here. Redzer you have no idea how lucky you are to live next to the sea. These were line caught in Killybegs this morning and I can only get them every so often.

A neighbour who lives about 2miles down the road offered me use of his 5ton track machine, only problem is fetching it, he has no low loader etc. Have a fairly sturdy dung trailer that I can drop the sides etc off, anyone hazard a guess if it would hold the digger fine?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,786 ✭✭✭✭whelan1

check the cross members, oh thought his trailer was fine but soon found out it wasnt

met my neighbour tracking up the road the other day, approx 1.5 mile spin in a 13 ton machine

maybe thats why the roads out west are fcuked:D

took a 25 ton about 600 meters down the road between two plots of land a couple of years back. Nearly crossed the road with the ripper down on a bulldozer:D:D that would take a bit of explaining

I doubt it would be fine with the height of the machine wobbling on it . If it was me I would take the worry out of it and find a local with a low loader . 50 to 100 euros would surely be as much as they would charge if you told them to move it when they are passing . I have lost my nerve moving stuff like that over the years

I moved a 3 tonne mini digger for the father awhile back . We had no ramps so I backed into a pile of fill for him track onto . Of course he went full tilt and came down on one track off square and started pushing the arse of the jeep . I hopped in to press the brakes but he still pushed me into jack knife position ! He hopped out and reared on me for moving the jeep while he was still unloading ! Old boys !
