I think the Lidl one is greek style. There was a thread recently about a few places in Dublin, Galway and Waterford that stock Fage greek yogurt, not cheap though:

Is the new(ish) Danone one in the blue packs Greek or Greek style? Might be worth checking the pack.

Danone is greek style ... the consistency between greek and greek style is a little different too - all the creamy texture ones are greek style thanks to in part cream or whipping cream in it :)

    Cream ....... nom nom

Tesco for the shortest time used to do fage 2 years ago ... then couldnt find it anywhere in limerick. Now that I am in Cork, came accross it in a whole foods retailer, hapy days!

I think the lidl one is greek yoghurt as far as I remember the only ingredient is yoghurt, there's no cream or anything else in it.
But the front does say greek style.
I must check and make sure next time I'm in lidl.

I think greek yogurt is made in a particular way ....by straining it I think.
I've had it Corfu and it's very thick, set consistency...
Ah...bowl of that with local honey & walnuts and a greek coffee, sitting by the sea, for €1 .....wah wah take me back!!!

Ingredients not listed in English. Google translate tells me: Milk, cream, milkprotein, yogurt cultures

Try kilbeg diaries quark/ fromage frais it's much nicer than cottage cheese and high in protein and low in fat

+1 for fage Greek yogurt. I live off the stuff. High in protein and it comes in full fat, 2%fat and 0% fat, full of protein, and really creamy and tasty. It's a pitty a lot of shops don't stock it.
Any of that Greek style, the likes of Danone, Lidle brand is not the real stuff with very little protein and fairly high in sugar imo.

Quark is another tasty high protein option for these who can't get there hands on fage!
    Yeh me either.

They stock it in a shop called JC's in Swords in North Dublin of that is any use to you.

Yep, usually in the one in Donnybrook as well, haven't checked Stillorgan. They also have the 2% (only small pots) and the various flavoured options usually.

It's the only Greek yogurt I've found that ticks all the boxes for me, taste and nutrition wise. Just wish it wasn't so expensive! I ration it out across the week to try and avoid using it up too quickly :o

Just wondering how much is it in Donnybrook Fair?

    €5.39 for 500g, and I think it's €1.99 for the smaller tubs.

Just took a pic of the info for you there. 67cals per 100g, 12.2g protein and 0.099g of fat. It doesn't taste fantastic on its own but it will take on the flavour of whatever you put in there.
