Watching a few videos on YouTube about EDCs - or Every Day Carrys. Ie. What you go in your pockets??

Most Americans seem to carry a plethora of guns and knives.

    I'm a little more reserved...

    POCKETS:

Keys (Work and Home on same)
    Samsumg Google Nexus Smartphone
Cardholder with a fiver wedged in there somewhere
    30 Day Bus Ticket
Piece of paper acting as a To-Do List
    Coins
    Earphones

    BACKPACK:

    Laptop
    Moleskine, softcover notebook (*drools*) :o
Crap ton of paper for college (notes, reports, journals etc...)
Tub of Pasta and a fork (yum)
    Spare Keys
    Bottle of Water
    Spare clothes if I'm cycling

So what do you walk around with all day?

Nothing in my pockets except maybe my phone.

Handbag has enough crap in it that if I got lost for three days I'd be absolutely fine.

Wallet, shield, keys, 2 phones, and glock 22 .40 are the only things I leave the house with everyday. Occasionally a G27 when not on the clock.

Videos on youtube about what people generally carry in their pockets?

    Jesus! :pac:
So what do you walk around with all day?

Work phone, personal phone, keys and my wallet.

The odd time alright I'll have my backpack with the laptop in it, but with the phone it's like a damn technological swiss army knife- I pretty much have my whole agenda for the week ahead organised on it, then I can e-mail on the go, store presentations, documents, browse some tech sites and forums, boards etc.

I prefer to travel as light as possible. Couple of weeks ago I was waiting for a bus at George's quay, six o clock in the morning and I got mugged by some young lads who got away with my phone.

They missed the laptop in my backpack and my other phone with which I was able to call the Gardaí, they arrived ten minutes later but sure the lads were long gone at that stage.

The less you carry, the less you make yourself an opportunity for enterprising little fcukers like these to relieve you of your possessions.

EDIT: I forgot smokes, nice one Duggy! :D

    Wallet
    Coins
    Phone
    USB stick
    Rolling tobacco, skins, filters.
Lighter, which is usually lost 10 minutes after leaving the apartment.

Then in my bag I'd have a few pens and a refill pad.

It's actually not as mad as you might think, and probably the reason why when I was mugged they missed the laptop in my backpack. You can get backpacks now that have a specially designed compartment for carrying a laptop and keeping it cushioned from the rest of your stuff.

Carrying a laptop, in a laptop bag/briefcase- everybody knows what you're carrying, and they're much easier to grab too than trying to get a backpack off your back!

    My Rainbow Zippy purse
Scraps of paper with random phone numbers and IMEI numbers written on them (Work stuff)

You should tape the spoon to the syringe so then you only carry two things.

Sort of like a 'Spork'. A 'Spyroon' if you will.

    Key, wallet, phone, smokes, lighter.

If working behind a bar, bottle opener/corkscrew gizmo and a pen. Anybody who borrows one of these and doesn't give it back is fair game to be poked in the eye with the other one.

    In my handbag:

Reader - do not leave the house without it
Vaper - used to be cigs & lighter
    Crappy phone - deliberately so
Folder-over purse - with coins, cards etc etc.

Migraleve & motilium - very prone to migraines, so usually always have them on me
    Keys.

That's it. I always like having it empty leaving house, you should see it some days when I get back - I can fit some amount of stuff in it whilst doing business/shopping down town.

I'd like to suggest not carrying it around with you anymore and leaving it somewhere safe.

I carry my phone and keys. Everything else stays in the car, I don't really use a wallet so the money just goes loose in my pocket, I can't stand having clutter in the pockets..
