    Hey

    I'm looking for help in where to start with building up a bit of strength.

    I've a current resting pulse of 70

    I've had a bad knee injury and won't be able to squat or lunge for at least six months, but just doing exercises my physio has advised, I can see the difference in my legs as I've concentrated on the bad leg.

    Anyway I'm getting better now and thinking that the time I've spent on that shouldn't be wasted (I actually enjoy doing the exercises, and always have loved exercising)

    I'd love to get into a good routine or rowing, then concentrating on building up muscle strenght, I'm hypermobile so I need to, and building seems to be the way to go.

    I need to download the new rules of lifting and read it if it's free, and need to look at my diet.

    At the moment it is:

    Breakfast: Latte/Green banana
    Lunch: Salad/sandwich
    Dinner: Chicken/fish/beef dish with veg and salad.

    For snacks I have lots of green/black tea over two litres, and blueberries.

    Any thoughts? I am not a great eater and prefer to snack most of the time

    Is your main goal to build strength or are you trying to lose/gain weight as well?

    Height? weight?

    Your diet is very low calorie, so low i would prescribe plumpynut.

    I'll tell you what people here have been telling me for weeks now.. See food = Eat it.

    From the drifter;
    volume + food ==Profit.

    I can't see him needing to lose weight at such a low calorie diet. Basically, find out how many calories you need to maintain bodyweight and if you're looking to gain mass- add 500kcals.

    Did I get it right guys?:D
