Should be a good game Inter have a few injury problems with their play maker Guarin facing a late fitness test for the game and a number of youngsters called up to the squad.

For Spurs Adebayor is out after suffering a hyper-extension knee injury against Arsenal but should be back for Liverpool and Dembele has been passed fit.

    Spurs expected lie up is

    Brad

    Walker---Gallas--Caulker--Benny

    Parker/Livermore--Dembele

    Lennon
    Bale
    Siggurdsson
    Defoe

Could see Naughton at Right back or Holtby for Lennon either I'd say.

    Score draw I think.

Really looking 'forward to this. Managed to get a couple of tickets before they sold out.

Wish AVB would play Lloris though. His sweeper type role makes such a difference to how we play. Brad whilst a solid keeper if far too attached to his goal line to allow us to play a high line. Dembele may need a rest but I think he needs to pick a strong team if we are serious about winning this competition.

    Friedel,
    Walker, Vertonghen, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto,
    Dembele, Parker,
    Lennon, Sigurdsson, Bale
    Defoe

Subs: Lloris, Caulker, Naughton, Dawson, Livermore, Carroll & Holtby

How many of the Inter starting team/squad are regular members?

Milito, Samuel, Nagatomo, Kuzmanovic and Schelotto would probably start and Stankovic, Rocchi, Obi, Mudingayi and Castellazzi are also missing for one reason or another. Guarin isn't fully fit either but if he was he'd start and I'm not sure why Palacio isn't starting.

Well the inter manager did say he only would start 100% fit players because he couldn't afford to loose anyone else.

Strama did say that alright but I haven't heard of any problem with Palacio and he was very good at the weekend.

    Useless defending.

How did Defoe not score that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,026 ✭✭✭✭adox

Inter have barely had a kick.

    They need that Coutinho fella.

Inter playing like they did at the weekend, Palacio has to be brought on at half time.

definitely a dive...put his leg into the defender.

how many times has he been booked this season for diving now?

Good decision to book Bale for diving.

Yup, stone wall dive. He needs to sort that out big time.

He misses the next game now

Dive all day long . His leg was well out to the side of where it would be if he kept running his line.

    Inter look shocking.

That's nothing new, been pretty useless since before Christmas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

Spurs won't need him in the next leg.

Poor from Inter to give the ball to Lennon, Defoe allowed to turn, defenders too slow to the rebound. All those factors mean Spurs could score again very shortly!

Comentators on 3e saying they are shocked how bad Inter are defending, obviously haven't seen Inter play in a couple of years.

They also said Cassano hasn't been involved but played a noticesable part in the Inter chance a few mins ago

Italian clubs don't take the EL seriously do they?

it's their EL record that's cost them the champions league place to germany

Scotty Parker has cleaned up everything in there, first to every single second ball. Spurs in general look very impressive. Inter being awful helps, of course.

No, they just got this far for sh1ts and giggles

Cassano has been quiet in fairness. Inter need to get Palacio and Guarin on for Pareirra and Cassano or Kovacic at half time.

    Siggurdsson great so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Wow lucky bounce catches out entire defense and he couldn't even get in on target!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,522 ✭✭✭dor83

    Ricky should have scored that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,040 ✭✭✭markie29

game over and tie over too...awful defending from the corner.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,153 ✭✭✭everdead.ie

Vertoghen finally gets one, bad marking though.

    Away goal would change everything.

Three players going after the Inter number 11 sums up the Spurs performance so far.
