The Most Expensive Thing You've Done Whilst Under The Influence?

I suppose technically this doesn't really count, because I've been threatening to do it for ages, but tonight after a couple of beers I finally took the plunge and booked a trip to the Big Apple.

There's no way I would have done this tonight without the alcoholic nudge though. So what's the most expensive decision you've made while slightly tipsy?

Whipping out the credit card and spending 100 quid I didn't have on ridiculous drinks in a very expensive bar in London.

I spent €60 on a hotel room the other week and couldn't even get it up I was so drunk.

Was it an IKEA Hotel Room? Did it not come with instructions to get it up?

Decided to move to NZ, final decision was made while drinking in the local. Combined we've probably spent 70k NZD that would have otherwise been avoidable...
That or get married, I was pretty wasted when I proposed.. but the expense on that is still clocking up, not quite there yet.

    Lost my phone alright...
    Confused morning after,
Woke in someone else's apartment sleeping in their hallway...
    Slipped out,
Realized I was on floor under the place I was supposed to be staying...
How I got in was a mystery because you need an electronic scanner key thing to get in everywhere...
Student accom, and I'd nothing, must've followed some group back,
Thinking they were of my own party, and fell asleep there...
May have left my phone there but didn't want to knock again just in case I never...
Got a bit of stick for that...
Expensive night out drink wise anyway...
    Limerick night club prices...

    Also, more recently...
    3 Jagerbombs for €19!
Then after spotting my expression shrugged and sighed "Big city prices..."

    Required:
    1 table
    12 cups
enough beer or misc drink to fill cups
1 or 2 ping pong balls

    Directions:
set-up 6 cups on each end in a triangle shape.
Aim is to throw ball into cup, if you get it in the other player has to drink it all. If you bounce it on the table and get it in they have to drink two.
    Alternate throws
    Can be 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 etc.
Must be behind the opposite end of the table and can't extend arm over the table.
Other player can block a bounce shot but not a normal one.
Once cup is consumed remove from game
Cups can be re0arranged into a smaller triangle once the first three are gone.
Winner is the one who gets the ball in all their opponents cups first

i was chargeed €21 (i think, over 20 anyway) for three in a club in county cavan, not even Cavan town, i thought, **** thasts a lot, then i thought 3 shots, 3 cans, hmmm... so i paid, but i was after watching her pour them, i dont think she even used 1 can of Red Bull between them, and they could have been 25 ml shots, not 35.5, but maybe i'm only making that bit up..

also, promised to 'lend' a friend a few quid, still waiting for it back (that cost me more than the coke and hookers ever did)

I watched him make mine and it was definitely one bottle of red bull,
    Must cost a bomb...
This was in a pub as well,
Sure I've payed more than that at night club as well,
But don't do rounds at nightclubs..
After that though will stick to pints in future :/

Not sure about size o shots,
Just know I dropped it into thing and knocked it back...

I've fell into that trap before because I remember before I'd even paid,
Something in the back of my mind told me,
This is going to be expensive..
Was present when one of the lads bought it a year or so before and said they'd never get it again... :P

Can't afford to be paying for shots on a night out... :/

Doesn't take much to get me drunk these days, but the outcome is usually the same. I'm a happy generous (that's the problem) drunk with a faltering memory.

My recollection of events is that my eldest son asked if he could book a ticket to his favourite band on my credit card and he would pay me back. I agreed.

It turns out that he clearly informed me that he was booking a ticket, flights and hotel to see the Foo Fighters play in Berlin. Seemingly, I got all mushy, told him he was a great son and that it would be my treat and that he was to take his brother with him as I love them both equally.

I couldn't really afford it and, as Mrs Oldyouth still informs me, I'm a gobsheen to think I can still hold my ale

Went to watch the MotoGP in Malaysia. I had to fly business class because it was last minute and they didnt sell economy class in the airport I was in (how convenient for them!)
Got a room in a nice 5-star hotel for a great discount price, shared it with my mate. Took it easy the first night because the qualifying was the next day and we didnt want to be hungover for it.
Next day arrives and it was monsoon rains at the track. Didnt see a single bike.

That night we decided we would go out full tilt, then go to the track in the morning.
At some stage in the course of the night I rented a second hotel room in another hotel on my credit card. It was a suite where we had a around 30 people partying. Woke up starfish on the hotel bed, room trashed, security knocking on the door.

Checked out, paid a massive soiling charge (reasonable for the damage), ran to my actual hotel, checked out, flew home.
Never saw a thing at the track.

Taxi from Killarney to Tralee because I couldn't find my friends house and lost my phone after a Pogues gig. Taxi from Cork to Kenmare one New Years Eve at two in the morning because everyone where I was had gone to bed. Stupid, stupid times.

My mate spent €600 in a lapdancing bar when he was locked.
To me, getting a lapdance is the most pointless thing in the world. I agree with Karl Pilkington. It's like going to a fancy restaurant, ordering an amzing meal but you're not allowed eat it, you can just look at it.

I have never liked strip clubs, their clientele, or the women within but I am confident that if multiples of the normal "meal" prices are paid, then customers are allowed to "eat".

Many years ago, during a heavy Thursday night out in London I(along with my now wife) decided to extend the party by booking ourselves a last minute trip to new york for the weekend. Cab to the house, picked up passports and nothing else, went to the airport and booked Upper class flights with Virgin, phoned and booked three nights in a Central Park View Suite at the Mandarin Oriental.

Spent a small fortune on clothes, dined at Le Bernardin and Blue Hill and went to watch a Yankees game in the Legends Suite.

Cost me about £15000, and was worth every penny.
