A 50 meter swimming pool would be cool but seriously was there not a thread just like this one a few months back?

Usually turns into a hate thread on all the things people hate about NUIM. Every Uni has it's ups and downs, management/union seem to be doing a good job of improving so far.

I know its been mentioned in the general thread, but toilet training for the male population of the college, as some clearly struggle.

    Obvious one but...SUBWAY!
we have over 4 places for coffee but not a place which should completely be in a student town if not on campus...

Subway comes up over and over again on this forum, I'm surprised it hasn't been a campaign promise yet!

Surprisingly when I was in first year all i ever heard were complaints bout the Ladies' toilets in JH. Granted I heard some bad things bout the lads' in arts block but never on the same level.

A 'what's wrong with Maynooth' thread that's not started by unclejunior?

I never thought I'd see the day.

Actually, I haven't seen him on this forum in ages! Don't tell me he's gone? :(

Someone swung the site-banhammer at him, afaik.

I still have my doubts :P

Though Siomha apparently met him (I may be remembering this incorrectly, there was alcohol nearby when I heard it)

A large multistory carpark for the college,
rebuild the SU smoking area as a quasi-legal enclosed space with heaters,
fix the traffic lights in the middle of town.
    put the bridge back.
have an on campus off licence / 24 hour tuck shop selling cans and smokes near the apartments.

Have all core books available as e-books....got an essay last week based on one book, which only has 3 copies in the library for a class with 60 members.

No he just claimed that he knew who I was and was mean to me.

I was either him or Paky. Or both.

I miss unclejunior. Can we bring him back?

The books are easy to find if you know where to look ;)

I think I know who he is in real life too (well I have some clues pointing in that direction).
If he is who I think he is; He is the sort of person with a lot of keyboard courage but wouldn't last very long in a prison.

    Oh well.

I meant in the Prison forum...

    Before Banquo posts it,
    Google Apps, etc.

I'd like to see the university have a much better online strategy,
The nuim homepage looks awful and lets not get started on the horrible mismatched bits that make the library search a pain to use.

Also footpaths on campus have the horrible habit of not following a straight line or being too narrow in places or just generally being crap. Its not a huge deal until you talk to students who are in wheelchairs or have mobility impairments.

Oh and for selfish proposes I'd give my office a view of something that isn't a brick wall.

Permanent Sitebanning for multiple breaches of forum charters across boards (not just an nuim issue), ignoring mod instructions for his behaviour, countless reregging and various infractions on here and other forums for trolling and slurs of an uncivil and often racial nature.....In short... NO

Yeah... that'll be nuked... trust me

A 24-hour computer lab would be a very good addition to the college in my opinion. I'm in college over in Bangor (the one in Wales) and there are multiple 24-hour rooms dotted around the college. You just scan your student card over a sensor and the door opens. You do the exact same when trying to get back out again.

You won't realise how useful it is until you start using it.

I've used many different ones all year and I've yet to experience any drunken people coming in after a night out. And one of those rooms is located 200 yards away from the college nightclub.

I can't see any reason why they can't be introduced in Maynooth.

A wifi network that just remembers me, logs me on automatically so that I don't have to go through an awful long-winded login process every single time.
