    €1.18 for 1L of Premier Dairy Milk - 97 cents in Tesco's

I'd find it hard to believe you'd get any bargains in a convenience store

    I never mentioned milk.

I know. I'm merely suggesting that bargains in convenience stores don't really exist

A 2l bottle of 7up/free for €1 sounds like a bargain, as does a €1 can of pringles. I don't really see how the price of milk stops them being a bargain?

€2.39 in Super Valu for 1 Litre of 7up and 2x2l in Tesco for €3.30.

In recent years I have seen some amazing bargains in the likes of centra, spar, londis.

As for milk, the cheapest milk I can get is in the green grocer next to a tesco. He has had it cheaper than them for over a year now, proper dairy council milk, cheaper than tesco own brand per litre.

8 cans of Guinness for 10€ isn't bad at all.

Tesco have it at 24/28€ or 9.28€ per 8 pack or 1.16€ per can.

Then based on the fact it's about 94c in the difference, will Tesco have it in stock, will there be staff on the checkouts so the ques are not up the aisle. Is it worth a 1€?

Their RRP is well over €3 per tube!

And you want your head checked if you pay that. Pringles are one of these weird items that have a high RRP but are on offer all the time. Like romatica ice cream, mad if you pay full whack.

The ingredients would not cost much so they can easily afford to slash the wholesale price.

Pringles are 3.29 in tesco and on offer starting tomorrow

    Special Purchase 2.29
valid from tomorrow (22/10/2014) until 11/11/2014

    With Pringles?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 215 ✭✭Mike1961

Who in their right mind would EVER pay €3 for Pringles?

For a long time they had an RRP of €1.65 .. then it went up to €2.20 ish and now €3 ... WTH!!!

I will N E V E R pay that price .. and it even hurts me to pay €2 which is one of the more common bargain prices.

I think they are €1.79 in Iceland at the moment. The price of Pringles varies hugely (plus they leave the most disgusting taste in your mouth ugh...... just saying!!)

If it's a hi-c store they don't get offers (in the middle of a city) only neighbourhood stores.
