    €1.18 for 1L of Premier Dairy Milk - 97 cents in Tesco's

I'd find it hard to believe you'd get any bargains in a convenience store

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,473 ✭✭✭✭Super-Rush

    I never mentioned milk.

I know. I'm merely suggesting that bargains in convenience stores don't really exist

A 2l bottle of 7up/free for €1 sounds like a bargain, as does a €1 can of pringles. I don't really see how the price of milk stops them being a bargain?

€2.39 in Super Valu for 1 Litre of 7up and 2x2l in Tesco for €3.30.

In recent years I have seen some amazing bargains in the likes of centra, spar, londis.

As for milk, the cheapest milk I can get is in the green grocer next to a tesco. He has had it cheaper than them for over a year now, proper dairy council milk, cheaper than tesco own brand per litre.

8 cans of Guinness for 10€ isn't bad at all.

Tesco have it at 24/28€ or 9.28€ per 8 pack or 1.16€ per can.

Then based on the fact it's about 94c in the difference, will Tesco have it in stock, will there be staff on the checkouts so the ques are not up the aisle. Is it worth a 1€?
