Do you have any short term goals?

I was talking to a friend over the weekend about the importance of setting short term goals to give yourself a constant sense of achievement and to avoid feeling like you're stagnating in life and I realised I've nothing that could give me that feeling of accomplishment on a weekly or bimonthly basis.

I've medium and long term goals but they too easily get forgotten about or lost in the fray of immediate priorities and tasks. Or I just lose interest (which happens all to often).

So, do you have any? Any DIY projects? Or maybe you want to finish that book you can never get time to read? Even Get the wife pregnant? Find Jesus? Win the lotto? Murder your neighbour? Assassinate a world leader? Instigate a coup? Anything?

And if anyone mentions opening a safe I will brain you.

Get to bed before half eleven. Still a chance I can make it, just requires moving a duvet over me but this seems like a job right now.

To be first in with an acceptable Aprils FoolsDay thread, one that dosent get closed for being too early or merged with one thats already started.

Even if I go to bed the actually going to sleep part takes ages! I was up at half nine, went to the gym and swimming and had special caffeine free herbal night time tea...probably will take me over an hour to fall asleep :(

What if you dont succeed at any of them and just end up with a contsant feeling of disappointment instead? Now that's no fun is it.

A few on the go, the diy project is one large one broken down into several small pieces so I can work one project at a time. It's lovely getting each one done and I'm halfway through phase two at the minute. It should be completed by June/July.
There are other smaller personal things, I set goals and targets and once I've achieved them find a new one, I think I might even be a bit ocd about it at this stage. Work is something I do when I'm not busy setting or achieving goals.

    Get up in the morning.
Go to the shop for milk.
    Feed the pup.
    Do some work.
    Pay some bills.
Book a trip somewhere, New York maybe.
    Watch some Telly.
    Have a coffee.
    Eat dinner.
    Browse boards.
    Go to bed.

That's about it, I never really look more than one day ahead.

Current short-term goal is to save €160 for a tattoo. Should be straightforward enough- been saving all my 1 and 2 euro coins up in a big tin for the last month. Hope to reach my goal by April.

    what was target?
and are you going to run full marathon this year now that would be a big goal for you. was the the target not just to run the half marathon and it was completed . fair play to you

Pretty much ALL my goals are short term these days but they build themselves into long term ones.

Basically my outlook on life is that I want to judge myself today against the person I was yesterday. So every day I try to improve on that person in some small way. Physically - mentally - or whatever.

Long term goals just kind of sorted themselves out from that such as my daily hour run at 5am - or my evening hour cycle after work - and some DIY and Gardening and cooking projects I work on often.

As for any very specific short-medium term goals??? Well I do intend to actually manage to _finish_ this years "Weaponised Go Kart Race"!!!!

    Lose 2-3 stone by September.
Try to concur my huge fear of rejection.
    Start my little business venture.
    Learn some basic German.
    Start talking to women.

I have lost 2 stone since January, down to 15 from 17 stone.
Although saying that i have lost motivation in the past 2 weeks and my diet has gone to **** because my brain tells me that i haven't changed a bit looks wise :(
I want to get to 13 stone but i dont know how im going to find the will power(drive) to get there. :(
