Loved it. Brilliant episode to start the season. Several lol moments.

    So glad it's back :)

    Santa was a surprise

the surprise was that they just dropped the santa thread so simply.

But the butters plot stole the show and that ending was f*cking perfect.

I wish I enjoyed this like you guys. I thought Cartman being insufferable on his phone was funny, but in general, a bad episode, especially the middle portion with Butters getting together the DMV plot with the door-to-door scenes.

Thought this was the worst SP in a long time tbh. Butters is not funny anymore

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,426 ✭✭✭Roar

Funniest ep I can remember in a long time. Butters dressed as the preacher at the end cracked me up.

As did Alec Baldwin talking about getting a "pussy sandwich". His voice was nearly perfect!

Also, thoughts on the new intro? I thought it looked great, a change was overdue tbh

Brilliant, loved it! One of the best in ages, I love when they get creative with ideas like that. The cable company guys were hilarious. I just wished I was young enough to get more of the minecraft jokes haha

Cartmans black family impression was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in South park and I've seen every episode.

I hear this weeks episode is postponed because they couldn't meet the deadline on the episode due to a power cut :(

    Yep :(
Thanks to a power outage (and its longstanding “six days to air” policy of turning episodes around so quickly), South Park has missed its deadline for the first time in the show’s history. In a statement from Comedy Central, the network says, “On Tuesday night, South Park Studios lost power. From animation to rendering to editing and sound, all of their computers were down for hours and they were unable to finish episode 1704, ‘Goth Kids 3: Dawn Of The Posers’ in time for air tonight.” And rather than just replace any of the missing scenes with video of a pig wearing sunglasses, like we would do, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have decided to be professionals and move the episode to Oct. 23. “It sucks to miss an air date but after all these years of tempting fate by delivering the show last minute, I guess it was bound to happen,” Parker said in the announcement. Tonight Comedy Central will instead air a “live-tweeted” encore presentation of the classic “Scott Tenorman Must Die.”

Pity about the postponement of this week's episode but it had to happen sometime. Still, nevermind, and if any of you have not yet seen it, check out that "Six Days to Air" docu that they made on the iPad episode. Very interesting to see just how intensely they work. Didn't know they had Bill Hader working as a writer.

It's a very good documentary all right. However I just end up thinking that maybe if they didn't do it in such a rush and took a little more time, perhaps they could make better episodes. This season is off to a great start but some of last was pretty iffy.

It's great that they can do an episode in 6 days if they want to reference very recent news, but like you say what's the point putting themselves under so much pressure to produce every episode like that? Most of the best episodes are their original stories that don't rely on a fast turnaround, and a lot of the episodes that are about "the big thing in the news/internet this week" are not as good. E.g. the Obama/Oceans episode, felt a bit like they're showing off: 'look how fast we can do this'.

Finding this season very meh so far. The 3rd episode I barely laughed at, I haven't seen World War Z so most of the jokes went over my head.

I have seen WWZ and even then it wasn't very funny. The bit with Cartman doing his hair before preventing an apocalypse did make me laugh though.

New episode all about the Goth kids; great characters and a funny story!

Best episode yet, I think :D

Just finished Black Friday - what an amazingly epic episode!

Don't wanna wait until next week!!

    PS: I have an X-Box 360 :o

Presumably this will be a three-parter since Black Friday is on 29/11?

    As for Elmo:

    Zombie Simpsons at that!

Although the joke this go around was at the expense of Kevin Clash rather than the concept of the doll...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,029 ✭✭✭vetinari

    Great great episode

Afaik there's no episode next week as its thanksgiving which is why they pushed it back. Made me laugh when they did it in the show.
