Longest Lasting Product You Own

Saw a similar thread elsewhere and thought it was interesting. What's the longest lasting product you own? I'm terrible for buying cheaper things and having them for a short amount of time. The only things I've invested in really are an expensive vacuum cleaner and lots of Le Crueset stuff for the kitchen which I hope to have forever.

My parents have an electric carving knife they got as a wedding present over 30 years ago and it still gets used for the roast every Sunday.

Any else have anything similar? Maybe something their grandparents used and passed on?

Funny, I was making tomato and toast last night and put pepper on it, I do this quite often but never have to buy pepper, it lasts for years.

Got tired of cheap tat breaking all the time so invested in longer lasting, higher quality products that won't need to be replaced constantly. Better for the wallet in the long run and better for the environment too.

It should be against the law to manufacture and sell products like sieves, shower shelves and bottle cleaners that are used with water and aren't rust proof.

I have an electric steamer in the cupboard since around 2006, it was bought in the misguided belief that I was actually going to use it. I took it out of the box once when I bought it to make sure that everything that should have been in it was. It has never been used. I doubt it ever will be used.

A 42 inch flat screen. Must have it since 2004/05 used all through those years for PlayStations and all. Im pretty surprised . I feel like it's starting to go though ! And when I say flat screen it's prob LCD and is a good five inches from screen to the back panel. A monster nowadays !

Kitchen gadgets are the easiest thing to get sucked into buying and not using! We got a water boiler thing for a wedding present. It's a thing that sits on your worktop and always has boiling water for instant tea etc. I don't drink hot drinks and it was my relative who gave it to us!

It's in the cupboard unopened, really not sure what to do with it or what it's purpose is! :)

My Jack Daniels zippo lighter, got it as a present in 2002, at one point it was being used up to 80 times a day, nowadays since I've cut down it's used about 20 times a day, still working as good as the day I got it.

How I've actually managed to keep hold of it is beyond me! :D

I still have a T shirt, which I wear regularly, that I bought over 10 years ago. How it's managed to last that long without getting holes, I don't know.

Not everything breaks, just the cheap shyte and the shyte that spends more time on it's brand image than it does on it's product.
