I only made it into the 250000 myself, those little bullets are a proper pain!
Not helped by the game running vertically on a horizontal monitor :(

Got to play a few minutes of this tonight. A good game, tough and just about fair. The trailing bullets and debris are a complete biaatch though!

yeah that was my high score run last night. Meant to post a screenshot :pac:

Almost beat my high score the other day. Was only off it by a few thousand. I was on boss three and my missus came home. I had to pause the game for a moment.

Nothing harder than trying to pick up a shmup like that about 10 minutes after you've come back to it. Impossible in fact.

Really getting the hang of it now though. Can 1cc the first two stages without too much trouble. Most of stage 2 is pretty easy. Only thing which does get me the odd time is that big assed tank that speeds at you out of nowhere about half way through with giant fast firing cannons.

He milks the first boss fairly well..

The big ass tank is a pain,
Ive just been unleashing some flames on him.
The different layout for your cannons is pretty useless.
    Think im up around 700,000

Here's a tip for that tank - his turret can't track as fast as you can move.

If you can dodge the first shot when he comes at you (which is hard in itself) you can keep tracking around him and shooting so the turret can't catch up. Once you shoot the turret guns off he's easy.

I only played it a few times last night. Got to just before the third level boss. Beating that guy should blast you well past the 700k mark.

I should really read up on the game and scoring mechanics to see if there is a way to enhance or multiply the scoring.

The only multiplier I know of (I've been sticking with self discovery rather than looking things up) are those little gold falling medal.

If you collect them in a row and don't drop any, the score multiplies. It gets into the thousands very quickly.

twice i got the gun pods to follow me,
so if i moved right the the pods were lined up to the left.
is that just form collecting the green tokens??
might look some stuff up later.
gotta get past that 3rd boss on 1cc

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,919 ✭✭✭TechnoFreek

Button C moves the pod positions I think.

no this wasnt one of the normal pod positions,
    it was really good.

In addition to the player's main shot, picking up green Option powerups will add up to four support pods to your craft. The formation of these Options can be changed to one of five presets with the C button, and there are additional secret formations that can be accessed by dropping a certain number of powerups before picking up the next. Both shot and options are fired by holding the A button
