I got a free ticket for tonight so I'll be there after work.

I think I'll use tonight to scout around and head in again tomorrow to buy gear.

Picked up a Shark Vision-R for €180 from Cotters at the show.

    Same as this one

    www.helmetcity.co.uk/products/Shark-Vision-%252dR-Blank-BLK.html

Happy with the price of it. Not many other deals that I saw

Is there supervised parking for bikes?.

I seen a good few stewards there directing the bikes to park but I'm not too sure how much of an eye they kept on them.

    Thats a pisser.

I was going to put a top box on for some storage, I hate dragging a packpack, helmet and padded clothing around.

Too many bikes to really keep an eyes on them all.

Great show though. I loved the racing event. Lots of bikes to sit on and gawk at.

Is it me or does anyone else think those scantily dressed lassies all look a bit trashy?

I was at it a few years ago and they had free lockers. It was advertised though, so if they're doing them it'll probably say on their website

It was about two hours of entertainment for me. All I wanted to do was have a look around.

Not sure that I would have gone if I did not get the free ticket.
But if you are looking to buy something, or there is something else specific that you want from the show, it would be worth it.

    Thats a pisser.

I was going to put a top box on for some storage, I hate dragging a packpack, helmet and padded clothing around.
I had to topbox on the bike and I left the helmet in it. I parked to the left of the front door as it was the first place I saw free. There was some 'officials' around but they didn't look like they were doing much not even directing traffic.

I don't think my bike was messed but I had disc locked the front wheel anyway.

Show was grand, especially for free! Got a decent lock for 30 quid and just wandered around chatting to people. Lots of rough looking half naked girls!

I'm sure the skanky girls felt a bit out of place , with the average age of yesterdays punters anyways, being in the 40's............:p

savage amount of €15, sorry, i mean bikers there today.....good weather i suppose...

My bothers Vespa is supposed to be on show with the other scooters; as he won't be going I was hoping to get his tickets off him, but haven't heard from him yet. Fcuk it I'll text him now; see if I can get a free one.

Edit: It is in one of the pics above. Sadly mine is now up to display standard as yet, still in a very early stage of development, but as usual cash flow is slowing down the process

If you go back to the start I had a few put up, I have rakes of pics of the KTM girls....I was talking to her for a good while up north Paddy :p By far the best looking women at the show was the Italian chick at the Ducati stand. Not a bit trashy, pure class.

I was at the Belfast show and the Dublin one today. The girls in Belfast were stunning compared to the young ones they pulled out of coppers for the Dublin show. Very bad women today.

Course I was there for the bikes

I went for a 'look' today, as I've been bike less since November.

Now I'm looking at maybe picking up a bike in the next month maybe and am regretting not picking up a piece or two; mainly €50 jacket at Cotters and a Kevlar lined hoodie. Anyway, I was thinking of going back in tomorrow but I really don't want to shell out another €15 to do so. Any suggestions or free tickets going? Be much appreciated.

Also, if I hang around until 6ish am I likely to pick up any bargains before people close up shop?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 24,878 ✭✭✭✭arybvtcw0eolkf

    A few observations from me.

First off I think the girls/models are getting some unwarrented & unfair stick here. They were good craic and very approachable, I'm sure there's few oil paintings here.

That aside the only negative's for me was the no readmittance policy at the main doors, I needed to get back to my bike and had to jump through hoops to get to it and back in again.

At the time tabled out in the paddock area it would have been a good idea to have a map up detailing the various areas, with directions to the toilet too.

That said IMO its a good show ~ look its Ikea for bikers, if you want to spend a few quid there's bargains to be had.. Cotters certainly knocked the bollox off most dealers with their prices.. Failling finding a bargain there's plenty of bike porn.

If you're not spending then make an effort to check out the time table of events and you'll have a good day. I loved The Purple Helmets and the little Polish girl stunter, she was amazing and well worth seeing her stunts.

Thats about it for me, I enjoyed the day. It was good meeting with the lads from the various MCC and MC who I don't see as often these days.

Oh, and I bought a pair of RST textiles for €60 which I'm delighted with :D

I have pics of the RC8 and the dukes aswell.

PM me your email and I will send them to you paddy. ;)

Went for an hour this morning, great show, but the admission price was far too high.

Also thought it was a bit lacking on the dealer side.

In the Belfast show, you could go in and out no probs just show the ticket you got!! Dont see the problem with that ffs!
