League leaders Ulster take on 8th place Treviso in the Rabo. Paddy Jackson returns from the Ireland camp to take the number 10 shirt and presumably kicking duties.

    John Afoa starts at loosehead.

Ulster have seen their lead at the top of the Rabo reduced in recent weeks, in no small part down to injuries and Ireland call ups. They will be looking to get a win under their belt at least and here's hoping for a TBP.

    ULSTER

    (15-9): R Andrew, A Trimble, D Cave, S Olding, M Allen, P Jackson, R Pienaar;
    (1-8): J Afoa, R Herring, D Fitzpatrick, L Stevenson, D Tuohy, I Henderson, M McComish, R Diack;

    Replacements (16-23) N Brady, C Black, R Lutton, N McComb, A Birch, P Marshall, N O’Connor, C Cochrane.

    TREVISO

    15 Brendan Williams
    14 Ludovico Nitoglia
    13 Luca Morisi
    12 Doppies La Grange
    11 Giulio Toniolatti
    10 Alberto Di Bernardo
    9 Fabio Semenzato
    8 Christian Loamanu
    7 Dean Budd
    6 Robert Barbieri
    5 Corniel Van Zyl (capitano)
    4 Valerio Bernabò
    3 Lorenzo Cittadini
    2 Franco Sbaraglini
    1 Alberto De Marchi

    A disposizione:
    16 Giovanni Maistri
    17 Matteo Muccignat
    18 Bees Roux
    19 Marco Fuser
    20 Marco Filippucci
    21 Paul Derbyshire
    22 James Ambrosini
    23 Tommaso Iannone

    Big game for PJ

It is indeed a big one for him. For those attending, who's up for a round or two of Stand Up For The Ginger man? :D

It'll be bread and butter to him tho.

Yeah, not so much a big game itself but big implications for the France game.

    Ugh.

I'm hopeful of a BP win. We actually have a strongish team out all things considered.

We have Leinster away at the end of the month so really need to get 2 wins from these next 2 games.

Only a few hours now, hope PJ has a stormer!

Schmidt please forgive me, I'll be watching this over the Leinster match to see how Jackson gets on

Leinster match isn't televised so I'm sure that that will earn you grace

Unless you're on the way to Newport you won't have much of a choice in the matter :p

its been a dissappointing few weeks from an ulster perspective would love to see the engine starting again as we get geared up to take on sarries and keep the lead of the top of the table

Question for jaco or awec or bilston or another Ulsterman (should really save this for talking rugby!)

If you had to choose between NOC playing 40 minutes tonight or ROG playing 40 minutes against France, which way would you go?

Just get this in before the thread really gets going. Do BBC show Rabo games every week?

Most weeks. Especially when Ulster are home.

And also if you include BBC Wales who generally get Scarlets/Cardiff on.

That's like being asked would I rather be punched in the face or kicked in the balls.

If we have an insurmountable lead at half time tonight and Jackson has a storming first half then I guess NOC could come on.

In saying that, the Ireland game doesn't really matter given our previous 2 results.

Sone of the best defensive performances come after knocks to the head!

    Allez Trimble!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

Great finish but Trimble owes Henderson one there, not only did he keep possession he kept it fast, great stuff

Haha, he doesnt disguise his bias well! In fairness looked like a fair scrum to me.

    Cave off...hopefully just a precaution.

Cave gone off. Looked fine though

Two missed tackles so probably wound up because of that.

Seriously its hard to listen too.

Cave off again. Feeling the effects of those huge hits.

Neilly was OTT but does anyone know what was wrong with the scrum?

I saw nothing but I'm no scrum expert.

Yep, but great fun and knows the game backwards

He had two bad knocks to the head someone on the medical team probably thinks he is effected by it

Stevenson Henderson and Tuohy. All class.

Not a single one would look out of place for Ireland

    Luke Marshall

Olding would just make you sick. Throw a massive wad of cash at him Leinster, Ulster don't need him.
