Considering how badly CF f*cks everything up, and how much sh*te Louie talks before you get to what he's actually saying, I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole.

I'm also VERY worried that the people who attend are going to come out thinking they know it all without realising that a lot of what is being said needs to be adapted differently for raw lifters.

And finally... "techniques that have allowed Louie Simmons to create the most successful powerlifters in the world" - FALSE.

I thought there was a stench of this when it first happened, and I think there's still a stench now.

Spend 2 days learning the Backsquat, Deadlift, and Bench Press

    Not gonna happen

I can see a new rake of trainers with this certification teaching that knees shouldn't go beyond your toes (wide stance squatting etc.) and prescribing DE work for beginners.

Hopefully I'm wrong though and they do make the important disctinctions between training for raw vs. equipped.

Exactly my concern too. Last thing we need is more misinterpreted information from people who think they get it and use some bull**** certification as back up/proof.

So I take it you don't agree with Louies methods!!

Laura and Shane are presenting so I won't have to listen to Louie!

I understand your debate regarding the Raw vs equipped lifter.

I have heard a lot regarding Westsides methods most of which have been good so I'm going to see for myself I suppose. Only real way to judge its merit.

Didn't you do a CF level 1 up there??

By the way I couldn't give a rats about the cert, I already have enough paper to start a bonfire!!!

Whats wrong with DE for beginners? I'd like your opinion? Whats your understanding of what DE is?

    Short answer - no.

Long answer - applied correctly and in certain circumstances, yes.

They're too bloody incompetent and unskilled to hold the necessary form
    And technique.

Their time would be better spent under higher percentages which would give better gains.

    Do you not agree?

Agree with DE technical moves such as box squats but Westside also use knee jump to base and box jumps which are dynamic in nature.

You'd nearly want an entire cert dedicated to box squats considering the way most people teach them.

    For starters only;
Both are profit based, not knowledge based.
Neither give an adequate time-frame for knowledge to be absorbed and tested to justify the name of the "qualification" they offer.
    Standards are inconsistent.

The problem with these courses is they intentionally have a ridiculous low level of entry requirement so that they can sell cheap and to as many as possible.
So you end up with multiples of folks with fancy sounding qualifications with sweet fa actual knowledge and experience.
