Any of these you think a 10 year old boy would love?

    Only really Rayman Raving Rabbids.

I'm sure he'd love most of them, but whether or not you think which ones are suitable for him.
Games that should be definitely suitable (AFAIK)

    Dirt 2
    Rayman Raving Rabbids
    Street Fighter IV
    Street Fighter X Tekken
    Super Streetfighter IV Arcade Edition
    Tomb Raider Legend

    Maybe some others.

    seriously? a 10 year old?

he is still in primary school. his mates are NOT all playing this. it is a BAD example to use.

stick to rayman and driving games.

I was hoping he was aiming at sarcastic humour

What about portal? That's not violent (from what I've seen) and it gets some nice lateral thinking going on there. Unless there's some bit of the game I missed that has naked chicks dancing on tables.

I'd be willing to bet that at least a few of his mates will be playing it. Lot's of parents don't mind their kids playing that sort of game.

They're not as bad as the media makes out to be, if you played them you'd know that. I'm not saying that I think all kids should be playing it but the media jumps on things and exaggerates them.

Portal is a very good suggestion, absolutely nothing unsuitable for kids in it and it really does get you thinking. It might be a bit difficult for him though.

Cheers, some great titles in that list.

Thanks for that, might go for Portal, I'm sure oh would like it if it is too hard for kid.
Would rather keep him away from call of duty type games for several more years.

    Per your first question; cheapxboxlivecodes.com.
Dodgy sounding name, I know, but I've used them many times and they've never failed me. Pay through PayPal and have a scan of a points code emailed to you in mere minutes. Not to mention, they're ridiculously cheap in comparison.
e.g. 2100 points RRp is around 25 euros. On CXBLC, it works out as €18.50(£16).

As for your second question, try here. Official MS lackey and will be posting all the deals on his blog and Twitter daily.

I don't suppose you can pay for any of the games with MS points, you need to use your CC and then MS will hope you leave your CC details on the system for future use. :(

The €2.99 games are actually more expensive with points at 480MSP, but the €4.99 games are 440MSP. Not sure how they've managed that.

I was aiming for Halo 4.

Its 30 yo yo's, I got 4200 points from cheapxboxlivecodes for 37 euro's. You need 2500-2800 points to buy Halo. So in that sense it made more sense to use points, still waiting for the duckers to send out the email though, I ordered it around the time of my last reply.

Also want to pick up MGS, but I have a bad experience of bad ports and not being able to finish games due to bugs and Capcom not giving a duck. I've also started looking at other more recent titles, most of them that are 30 Euro you can pick up in Gamestop for 20-25 Euro's pre owned. I personally would rather not have to deal with Gamestop and who needs game boxes hanging around the house? :)

People who want their games to have resale values perhaps? ;)

Meh, the prices GameStop gives you sometimes just isn't worth it, at least you know it will always be available as a DLC, no need to get up and change discs all the time. I love that aspect of digital content on Xbox.

Err, its actually the opposite. When you have the disc, at least your guaranteed to be able to play the game again when you want to, be it 5/10 years down the line. When you buy a game on xbox live, as we've seen with other online download cases, your basically buying a licence, and if microsoft decide to delete a certain game/dlc off the servers to make room for other games, or if no one is using them in a few years, then your sh*t out of luck, as they reserve the right to take it down off the servers. I have already seen it with some items in my download history that I downloaded off xbox back in 2005/06, and when I go to redownload it now, it gives an error and wont let me.

Also, are we really turning into such a lazy society that getting up and walking 2 feet to change a disc in a console is a hindrance?... first world problems and all that.

Also as weve seen in gamestop with their €90 trade in offers, there is some profit to be made there if you look around, and theres adverts/ebay to sell your games.
