I know this thread is a bit early, and I will add the preview for it in this post on Monday, but we know of a lot of big things that are going to take place on it already, such as :

Cena Vs Punk, winner gets the shot at the Rock at WM.

Jack Swaggers arrest, how is this gonna affect his title match at WM.

Vince Vs Heyman, this has to be the lead up to something.

We have not seen the Undertaker yet, we are not even sure if we will, but seeing that he resides in Texas, it would make sense if he was to appear, it would be on Monday.

Brock Lesnar is booked for Mondays raw, so what will happen with him.

Also The Shield have had two major wins in the last week, what will they do next and what is their plan for WM.

Some stuff mentioned on new sites today:
The Vince McMahon vs. Paul Heyman fight next week on RAW is likely going to be used as a setup for the Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania. It’s possible we’ll see run-ins from the WrestleMania opponents.

    - If The Undertaker does commit to wrestle at WrestleMania, Monday’s RAW from Dallas, Texas is a logical opportunity for him to return. One scenario we’ve heard would be The Undertaker costing CM Punk his match with John Cena (and a shot at The Rock at WrestleMania), setting up the match between them.

Also the Rock won't be appearing at next weeks Raw, he is filming in Panama.

It'll be so easy to set up the Taker/Punk match too.

    *Cena has the upper hand.

    Lights go out.

Cole: "Oh we've seen this before, Punk is going to use his buddies the Shield to screw John Cena."

    BONG

    Crowd goes mental*

How would that set up for Punk is Cena is on top at the time?

Think it's more likely we'll get...

Cena is on top. Lights go out. Shield appear and attack Cena. Lights go out again. Undertaker appears. Clears out Shield. Chokeslams Punk. Cena gets the win.

    He'd cost Punk the match.

Cena would be going to Wrestlemania anyway so not too concerned and Punk would have a legit reason to face Taker.

But if Cena has the upperhand at the time, it'll be a distraction to him.

Why would Undertaker want to cost Punk a title match?

I wouldn't be surprised if they did a "respect" angle of sorts; Punk is always going on about wanting respect, and Taker says to earn respect, he can take on the biggest challenge of his career.

Why would Cena put his title shot on the line making his Rumble win pointless?
    Its wwe's flawed logic

Coz he's face on the side of good attacking the interfering Shield.

Cena would put his shot on the line because he was challenged, he is a face, he spoke about not being able to beat Punk before and wants to make amends. Its pretty simple no?

Weeks ago Punk was running his mouth about being the best of all time, better than all the legends. Banging on about respect for months. All the while cheating and scheming, it makes perfect sense that someone of Takers stature would return to stop him stealing a win against Cena and challenge Punk.

Except, if I remember right, Punk didn't challenge Cena at all. Cena voluntarily offered to defend the title shot. Punk just said he wanted Cena to go away and suddenly Cena is offering to put his shot on the line.

Punk didn't say he wanted Cena to put anything on the line, he questioned Cena's credentials to be the No 1 contender by saying Cena never beat Punk, Cena got Lucky by winning a Rumble, he can't get it done/win the big one anymore and that he should go away. He baited him into it, he basically challenged him and all he stands for.

Cena said himself he wants to silence his critics (including Punk) leading to the match offer.

Would getting destroyed by Taker not kill The Shield momentum, I think it might be better to have them destroy Taker it could explain his absence then from WM if he isnt able for a match this year

He wouldn't need to destroy them, chokeslam one of them then they do a runner as they have before and it did them no harm.

If he isn't fit to wrestle he is probably not going to be taking a big bump on RAW either so not sure them beating him down would really work out. WWE probably don't need to write someone out when they were never wrote in to start with on tv. If he was already on TV and then got injured so wouldn't be at Mania then it is a perfect idea.

Pssst... wake up, you're after falling asleep and now you're dreaming out loud on boards.ie.

It's going to be good old big nose HHH getting his win back over Brock. And Punk losing to Taker at WM29.

Still have hope for a Taker/HHH vs Punk/Lesnar tag match at Mania.Would be easier to hide Taker's physical limitations and fresher more interesting then HHH vs Brock 2 would be.

Also leave's Rock and Cena to have their match without Punk muddying the waters.

Can't add this to the first post for some reason, but anyway, here is the preview
John Cena will put his WrestleMania 29 WWE title shot on the line tonight against CM Punk. The winner of this match faces The Rock on April 7th.

    - Paul Heyman will fight WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

    - Brock Lesnar is scheduled to appear. There has been a lot of speculation that he'll get involved in the Heyman vs. McMahon fight, in order to set up the rumored Lesnar vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania.

    - WWE Champion The Rock will not be on RAW tonight but will be back next week. Chris Jericho is currently touring with his rock band Fozzy and won't be on WWE television until next month.

    - With The Undertaker making a surprise return to WWE at Saturday night's SmackDown live event and tonight's RAW taking place from his home state of Texas, his imminent return could take place tonight.

    - Jack Swagger will make his first live WWE television appearance since getting arrested last Tuesday night for DUI & drug possession. We'll see the continuation of he and Zeb Colter's, "We, The People" storyline - and WWE's response to Glenn Beck refusing their invitation to appear at the show.

Also advertised for RAW are Alberto Del Rio, Big Show, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler, Big E. Langston, A.J. Lee, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett, Antonio Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, and Layla.

Vince had pretty serious hip surgery recently right?

So there's no way his match versus Heyman is gonna get anyway physical to even begin with and if Lesner interferes there's no way Vince's can take any sort of a slam, fall or even another F5... so hows that gonna work out?

Lesnar has him up on his shoulders, Motorhead hits, HHH comes out, Brock puts Vince down, brawl begins.

Didn't he take an F5 the day before he was going in for hip surgery anyway? When there was already something wrong with him?

Vince is a crazy mo-fo. That won't stop him :P

He was walking well enough at that WM30 press conference last week too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,730 ✭✭✭✭Penn

Heyman will come down to the ring, say he's not going to fight and has found a replacement, Lesnar comes out, before he can get to Vince, HHH comes out to make the save.

I doubt Vince will even take a punch where he's supposed to be knocked down. Walking around is all well and good, but he'd be an idiot to take any moves so soon after his surgery.

This Raw could be more exciting then Wrestlemania itself. ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,997 ✭✭✭Mr.Saturn

The only means I can see 'Taker being factored in the Lesnar stuff is if The Shield interfere on Heyman's behalf, and Hunter enters to rally them out. Lesnar blindsides him, and takes him out, before slowly approaching McMahon once more.

As soon as Lesnar gets within arms reach of McMahon; let the knells ring out. Lights out, more knells. The lights return, and the ring is empty, but for Lesnar and 'Taker. Tense face-off turns to squaring up, and the ring fills with the midcard, the refs, the agents et al.

Wrestlemania season there: Bringing out the deluded, self-involved fantasy-booking from even the most jaded of fans.

Hunter can get his win back at Summerslam, painted as a Rocky VI-esque Balboa trying to prove he still has a place in the game.

God, I'd much rather see Brock vs Undertaker than HHH vs Undertaker. Seriously, HHH vs Brock at Mania surely only has one outcome? At least with Undertaker it would be more anticipated than an obvious rematch.

    - WWE has announced that, as Glenn Beck has declined to address the WWE Universe tonight on Raw in response to a segment on his show where he called WWE "stupid wrestling people" over Jack Swagger's new character, they will be sending a video crew to Beck's studios. The camera crew will attempt to get a comment from Beck with the results airing tonight on Raw.

Surely they have to throw a swerve in at this stage?!?!

    I mean come on....

    HHH Vs. Lesnar
    Cena Vs. Rock

It's SOOOOOOO predictable....a little TOO predictable at this stage and it has been for quite some time now....

Surely WWE are not that far out of touch?! They can't be....

    Feck sake:

    Pwinsider.com
For the TONS of you who have asked, Undertaker is not in Dallas, Texas at the Raw taping, as of 7 PM Eastern tonight. It's always possible he's being hidden, but based on those we've spoken to, it seems more likely he won't be appearing on tonight's Raw.

Taker worked a Waco, Texas house show over the weekend, likely to test himself physically for a potential Wrestlemania 29 bout.

WWE Showed footage of the taker at the house show last weekend on their youtube channel.

    Here it is:

It's one thing that wrestling websites reported on it but WWE themselves letting fans know he is "back" is another thing. 'Taker has to be on the show.
