Mainly focusing on the HPAT this week and next since its next weekend but going to keep a bit of study going.

    Tonight:
Irish: Get sraith pictiur 3 revised
Chemistry: Anion testing and ethyne experiments
    Biology: Start on human reproduction

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Seem to be avoiding anything not HPAT related tonight so did the ACER sample paper 1 section 3 again. Got 24/30 so happy enough with that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Lacking the motivation to do anything study-related this week. Seem to just have the HPAT on my brain the whole time so going to do a few section 1 and 3 drills and go over some of the section 3 exams I've done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Not letting myself do anything HPAT related today cause I think my brain needs a rest! Need to finish off homework and going to do:
    German: picture sequence for oral
Irish: Sraith pictiur and write up about myself, family, where i live, my house. Write up notes on Spalpin fanach
    Chemistry: anion experiment
    Maths: Sequences and series, theorems

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Being incredibly lazy today and haven't opened a book. I do so much more when i'm in school. Did my final HPAT exam though so not a complete waste of a day, went alright, so still unsure of where i am with the stupid thing!

Got four mocks back so far and I'm actually delighted with them! :D
    Irish -A2
    Biology - A1
    Chemistry - A1
    Physics - B1
I knew they were gonna be my best ones but I'm so happy with that A in Irish!

Would be delighted with that in June except for Physics, gonna try and bump that up to an A1.

Gonna look over some sraith pictiur tonight, taking tomorrow off to look over some HPAT stuff and to sort out some last minute bits of it in my head!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Took the day off to go over HPAT drills in sections 1 and 3, haven't gotten a whole lot better but definitely feeling calmer about the whole thing, just want to do it now and get it over with.

Learnt irish oral on myself, family, house and where I live, facilities etc. Going to learn about last summer and next summer now and I'm leaving it at that for the night. Trying to keep things easy this week, don't want to be exhausted by saturday

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

English back today - C2, not really happy with it, especially with my comparative mark as I really felt it was the best answer I could have written. Pretty much certain now I won't be counting it so going to focus a lot more now on my other 6 subjects I think.

Going to over a good bit of Irish oral tonight:
    Sraith 5 and 6
Last summer, next summer, weekends, daily routine
Need to go over some HPAT exam questions and print out admission ticket, not doing anything tomorrow night or friday, need to focus my mind
Do some trig questions from exam papers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Finished with the HPAT at long last! Happy enough with how it went, section one and three went ok for me, parts were difficult enough but really don't know how section 2 went, hopefully it'll work out though! Chilling for the night now and back to work tomorrow!

So busy the last few days with mock orals, had an irish one yesterday and today and was delighted with how they went. Our teacher is just the cutest man though so they really just feel like your having a chat and its really chill so its really calmed me down for them. Told me he feels I'm around the 230 mark so really happy with that, just have to keep going over my pictures! German one wasn't a complete disaster, roleplay and picture went really well, just need to write a bigger piece on future plans etc.

So much to do over Easter, got 4 english essays alone to write so going to be kept busy!

Promise to do more tomorrow!

So very very tired. Spent most of the last two days in hospital with my nan so didn't get a huge lot done and I'm away in Dublin for the next two days but hopefully I'll get a good bit done on the train up and down.

Btw has anyone done the option in Chemistry? Thinking of doing it myself but do you do the two options and one comes up on the exam or do we just do one? I'm feeling too lazy right now to look it up!

Hey I'm considering the same thing myself, you pick one of the two and in each there's two sections and one of them comes up. So yeah basically just do one. I tried doing the Industrial/Atmospheric one but just found Industrial incredibly tedious so I gave up. :p Think I'll just leave it out at this stage.:P

Irish oral tomorrow, starting to feel pretty nervous about it though. Had a mock oral this morning and my examiner said I should definatly get an A1 if I go through everything slowly and not panic if I don't get my best sraith. Spent all weekend doing irish mostly

Irish: have gone through all the sraith's twice and gone over all my oral work a few times. Need this oral to go well for me!
Biology: did plant reproduction and exam questions
Applied Maths: did a few years of Q5's

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Had my Irish oral today and really happy with how it went! Hopefully got the A1 in it. Got Geibheann to read and Sraith 2 on the credit card which was beautiful! Comhra was grand too, nothing too strange, managed to slip the MC into convo twice so she didn't ask me any specific question using it. Know I made a couple of grammar mistakes here and there and was a bit all over the place in one of my answer but overall think it went pretty well!

Taking tomorrow and probably Wednesday off to study since we're finished all the courses now except German and I'm not really counting that! Teachers are just doing nothing really with the orals on so I'll do way more on my own. Going to give myself a bit of a rest tonight but have to have the 2001 Applied Maths paper for next week so think I might just do that tonight!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 522 ✭✭✭Glee_GG

Took today off to do some work, happy enough with what I got done. Going to take tomorrow off as well I think

Its so much effort to update this sometimes! Been doing bits and pieces over the last few days,

Physics: Light waves and exam Q's so that that section done
German: oral work and more oral work and some more after that
Applied Maths: Gone a bit crazy in the last 3/4 days with the amount of applied maths I've been doing, gotten at least 30 questions on bits of everything done, just can't seem to sit down and learn anything lately so I find it good since you're just working through problems
