Poliquin Bio-Signature

    Hey guys,

Just looking for some of your experiences about this. I've read great things and know where I can get it done locally cheap enough. Is it worth the cash though? Obviously I'd go in with an open mind and I won't just buy a load of poliquin supplements after the first appointment.

I have a fair idea of what I'll be told. Love handles and umbilical areas carry most of my fat so cortisol/stress. I'll also most likely be recommended to go very low carb and only to have carbs through veg.

    Is it worth it?

No poliquin seems to be for the gullible

Are you seriously asking if a low carb protocol will get rid of love handle and umbilical fat?

No, sorry I didn't really make myself clear in the opening post. I'm not too bothered about my bf% I'm just predicting what I will be told. Poliquin seems to heavily advocate a high protein / high fat diet and very low carbs is what I meant. The fact I hold fat around my love handles was a separate point, that wasn't too clear.

I'm just asking if the bio signature process is worth paying for. As in the information I'd receive i.e. hormonal imbalances etc.

You should read his columns on Mens Fitness. They usually descend into him abusing people genuinely asking him why he eats steak for breakfast.

I find it hard to take him serious after the video where he had a coffee mug full a pills and he said he tells his athletes to take a few between sets

Well the guy has trained something like 17 olympic athletes so he does have some credibility behind him. I'd assume it's just BCAAs he was telling them to take? Haven't seen the video, but I've heard he recommends something like 40g of BCAAs during training?

Are there any substitutes to the biosig that could give me an idea of of hormonal imbalances as well as skin folds etc for cheaper?

A.In how many of those cases did he train them from scratch to olympic level. Or train for msot of their careers.
    B. In how many of them was he simply one of many "coaches". Or how in how many was he brought in as a consultant after he was "famous".

Athletes falling under "A" give him credibility, under "B", no so much.
