:(:( I have gone to Weight Watchers for weeks. The programme works but my head somewhere else. Has anyone any thoughts on how to retain my head and my behaviour. :(

How many times are you going to the gym and/or exercise each week?

I go often and walk daily

  • Structure. If you are struggling, you need to impose structure upon yourself.

Plan your meals, write a menu for the entire week. Go to the shop, buy only the food required to make that menu. You are not allowed top up, no matter what.

Get into a routine of how & when you eat. Enjoy cooking. Get involved and interested in your meals. Spice Rack should be fully utilised. Experiment with flavours and textures.

Aim to fill up on the good stuff, and try to ignore the bad. (Whichever ethos of eating you subscribe to's version of good/bad)

Thanks for that. Structure, cooking, experimenting with herbs and spices is all apart of weight watchers. But what I have difficulty with is my behaviour and changing it to work any healthy eating programme.... I think I could write a book on recipes and a meal plans. I just dont stick with it myself:(

  • Impose Structure.

No more excuses. You have to take charge of yourself, nobody else is going to do it. (sounds harsh, but is completely true)

It is a habit that you need to fix, this is not easy. Most people would eat healthy if they could flick a switch. Aim for 1 week of following something perfectly. When that's done, aim for another week.

And another, and another. In 1 month, you will have grown accustomed to this structure in your life. In 2 months, it's no longer a structure, it's just what you do.
