So I've been informed that different courses have their graduation at different times. Does anyone know what month the maths one usually is?

Also, if you know you wont be able to make it to the graduation ceremony (say a job offer in another country for example) is their an early grad or something for people who can't make the proper one or do you simply not get given the degree or something?

    Thanks :)

Assuming this is for a BA, then the graduations are usually in November/December. According to the link below, this academic year the maths ceremony was on 2 November:

    http://www.tcd.ie/vpcao/administration/records-awards/assets/pdf/1.%20Commencement%20Schedule%20Summer%202012-%20Spring%202013.pdf

Usually these dates remain pretty constant, so for this year I'd say it'd be either November 1st or 7th (I'm not sure how/if they deal with Halloween!).

If you can't be present at that ceremony, you can either have your degree conferred in abstentia, or else wait for another ceremony later in the year. Ideally, you'd go to the one specified for your course as that's when everyone will be together, but I think there's technically no restriction on your applying for another ceremony; contact Student Records to make sure I suppose.
