Balls.. just realised it's been sent to parent's house.

    Hope they're around today.

And while I'm at it - a Sandisk 32GB Class 10 Micro SDHC at a good price!

I like how it has a postage cost.

As someone who sells on Ebay a fair bit.. sometimes postage costs are the only way to make a profit.

I'm gonna say they'll be delivered tomorrow :)

Except for Basq's; his is gonna be next week :pac:

I was told in the shop when I was buying it that if I unlock it myself the warranty is void. Not sure how much truth is in that but I have read somewhere that if you unlock it on Vodafone.ie the warranty remains intact.

Apologies, in advance, for the dope question but if I buy one of those there unlocking codes from eBay do they just email me out a code that I put into the phone? Or is it a bit more complex...

I just unlocked it. I sent them the imei and then they returned me in 5 minutes ( I am impressed) the code to unlock it. They send you an email with the code and the directions

They'll typically e-mail you the code that you get prompted for when you put in a sim from another network..

    Even I can do that!

The phone only supports up to 32 GB microSD cards. Is that something that could change when [if] it's upgraded to Android 4, or is it limited by the hardware?

I've just successfully rooted the phone following the instructions on this site..

Got mine.. damn impressed with the projector!

    Thanks OP.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,318 ✭✭✭Absoluvely

    Here's a cheap case.

All the reviews I've read say it comes with two batteries in the box.
Mine came with one already in the phone and two spare ones.
Did everyone else get three batteries?

    Me too.

I installed XBMC on the device and am streaming movies from my NAS over the network with the video being projected onto a wall. Sounds are being played through a cheapo bluetooth speaker system...which copes admirably!

Edit: actually..the projector isn't working under xbmc! It'll stream web videos no problem, however. Hopefully there'll be a fix for that.

Mine had just 2 in the box.. I'd be concerned if there was one in the phone... that isn't normal.

Was security seal broken on it?

Anyone that used the ebay link to unlock your handset did you have any issues?

When i type *#7465625# with no sim I get:

    Network Lock
    Network Subset Lock
    SP Lock
    CP Lock

I'm being told by the unlocker on ebay that they all shouldn't be locked.
    Anyone have similar issue?

The security seal was intact. The clingy plastic was on the phone as it should be, and there were no fingerprints anywhere. And all the accessories were wrapped up as they should be.

Then I noticed there was a photo already on the phone, taken in a CPW shop on 24th August 2012

I don't know how or why CPW used my phone and got it back in the box like that.
Obviously my new phone has been used before and isn't new.
Am I entitled to return it for a new one?
    Should I want to?

That's normal. Try it with a non Vodafone sim installed and it should say that the Network Lock is On.

I must say I love projector in that phone. It's obviously not a "real" projector to use in daylight etc. but very nice feature in the late evening.
I spent few hours playing with it at home and outside and can't remember other mobile I've got so much fun when I got it.
I don't have time to play with it more now (studing) but will do later, and hopefully I can unlock it with rooting as posted here on the forum (can anubodu confirm how it wil work with warranty???).

Don't worry about that, they could unlock it :)
