In store only, started this morning. They are clearing out their winter jackets.
Up to 40% off The North Face and Berghaus etc.

Picked up a North Face Atlas Triclimate jacket this morning RRP €240, usually sold for €228 in store for "members", scanned at €144.

Some really good Gortex Berghaus jackets there too at hugely reduced prices.

Also worth looking at mandmdirect.ie for big Berghaus discounts

    Thanks OP,

This is genuinely a great sale... got some North Face gear for 40% off which is current kit and costs full price on most other sites at present.

Don't often get 40% and 50% off these brands.

Yeah, after I left the store with my North Face jacket, got back to work and found out they had the sale up online and ended up ordering 3 fleeces from there too.:pac:

The only downer was I saw a Berghaus Goretex jacket that I only bought a few weeks ago for €170 down to €108.

Its taking all my will power not to order more stuff. As you say its very rare to see them at such reduced prices.

Got a North Face Tri-Climate jacket for €144 that I've wanted for a year but couldn't justify at €240.

    Cheers OP.

thanks for this, been waiting for this gear to come down in price again.

almost bought from the north face store for 175, so saved me 30 euro. cheers

Looks like their site is acting up and some of the discounts have gone.

I placed an order earlier and got the 40% off which was great but when I went back to buy another couple of things the prices were back to normal.

I was in Carrickmines store today. Didnt see much value in the store. They have lots of stock but to be honest Great Outdoors is better value and has better choice.

The fleeces I ordered are €10 more expensive at The Great Outdoors and most of The North Face jackets seem a lot more expensive than the sale items in 53 degrees north.

Just FYI, I notice if you're looking at something like all the shoes listed on the one screen even though they say prices like €80 down from €120 the price can be even cheaper if you click into the actual product...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,030 ✭✭✭jpb1974

Anyone else got a shipping confirm yet? I ordered Thursday night, now't yet.

Bought online from Great Outdoors in the past and it arrived the next day.

Maybe I'm being a bit of an eager beaver here.... but given the lack of XXL clothing on the site... I fear for the old "sorry, but we don't have the sizes you asked for in stock" reply.

    Thanks!

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 18,115 ✭✭✭✭ShiverinEskimo

    Jacket arrived. :D

    Thanks again OP.

no dispatch notice for me yet, ordered Wednesday afternoon.
I presume they are very busy so no panic yet.

    Thanks 53 and OP.

Discount code PRIORITY on 53degreesnorth.ie for 15% off. Seems to work on sale items too.

    Sure does.. Thanks.

Have been back for more stuff with another 15% off. Have to stop now. Lots of stuff now back to full price or it shows as reduced but when you try add it to basket the sale discounts doesn't work.

Am looking at a few of the 3 in 1 jackets on there but am wondering about sizing ... looking at North Face, Colombia and Regatta but being a novice with these things am thinking North Face is prob the best (??) ... Anyways, I like a bit of room and am usually an 8 or 10 but am thinking it might be best to look at ordering a 12 for room?? .. Any thoughts? Or even recommendations?
    TIA

I ordered a coat Thursday and got an email this evening saying they don't have it in stock.

I'm surprised they took the payment at order time if they aren't sure they have it in stock(i.e. online stock levels aren't up to date)..and it can take up to 5 days to process the refund. Maybe this is standard practice for online retailing?
It still says its in stock on the website.
I use Amazon a lot so I guess I never really came across it before..

The stock indications on their website are meaningless, they often don't have what they say is in stock.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,273 ✭✭✭racso1975

yeah sale prices still on the site and anytime i put it in basket it goes back to the original price!!!

Amazing sale, thanks for the tip adox.

I have a couple of north face coats, one of the triclimate ones, I'm a 10, and have 8s in both, sizing is quite big on them, 8 or XS

For anyone still interested there were/are (yesterday evening) some excellent reductions at the North Face outlet in Kildare village. I got a lovely triclimate jacket for €96 marked down from €260. Mrs got a coat for €154 down from €340 rrp. A lot of the remaining stock was only in smaller sizes though.

Thanks, this knocked another €25 off the jacket I was looking at, bringing the total discount to almost 50% and sealing the deal (on the old laptoperooney.. :D). Hopefully it is actually in stock is the next thing.....

Fake. The fake sites always have the exact same "contact us" page. No contact details at all, just a form you can fill in. I was looking for a pair of nike runners a while back, millions of fake sites, all had the same style "contact us" page. You'll notice poor translations in places too.
The newest shade of price reduction the north face jackets Spencer store satisfies tons my own clothing, which will cuts down significantly difficulty for my part. Resisting the serious wind turbine and also environments using these floor high-tech fabric regarding discount the north face jackets leather coats. The particular high-tech components and the duck stuffings of our own the north face jackets kids outdoor jackets preserve the particular cold out along with skinny concurrently.

I ordered Sunday and got shipping confirmation today. I'd say you'll hear tomorrow.

Ordered on Monday, haven't heard a peep yet....

I placed an order Monday too, got the confirmation. Payment taken off my Credit Card.

Rang the shop yesterday girl said my coat is out of stock and they are currently going through orders to send out the cancellations and refund the cards so doesn't look good.

Had same thing happen with a gamestop order recently too, very annoying they can't be smarter with stock control!
