Hey all just looking for some advice.

I'm in the gym about a month but having been running close to 7-8 months normally 6k every other night.

So my gym session normally consists of a 5k run and then 30-40 mins of weights I'm looking for the best recovery protein, nothing that makes me put on too much weight more do recovery. Cheers

    Optimum nutrition gold standard whey.
But if its purely recovery then nothing compares to cherry active. Totally organic, natural and really really works

I've found myprotein.com to be cheap, they do their own brand stuff so try that out. Also try discountsupplements.ie as I find them cheaper for buying ON products than the actual optimum nutrition website.

milk is milk, regardless of the source. horse milk, cat milk, platypus milk.

unless they are making chalk water and passing it off as milk.

    http://www.optimumnutrition.ie/211-recovery-with-free-on-shaker

Would this be something that would stand me well for my work out ?

    It would, but

    1) You could find that product for cheaper on other websites, shop around. It'll be more expensive from the ON website.

    2) You could find a cheaper substitute product for the same price.

Shop around. I'd second reading the stickies and increasing your knowledge on nutrition and supplementation.

Having stuck with Optimum Nutrition and Gaspari for years and years I have recently succumbed to the lure of websites such as www.theproteinworks.com.

The prices on these websites are unbeatable and having tried the proteins now for a month I can see no difference in recovery or gains. Definitely recommend anybody who is struggling to choose a brand to just take my advice and go for these. They are half the price for the same quality as all the big names.

The Protein Works are even doing an offer at the moment where if you use a referral code you get a free bag of protein powder with your first order! There is a thread around here where people have been throwing up referral codes for others to use.

Mine is SK13953 if you are interested.
