I've checked the rules and can't see any problem with posting this message but if I'm wrong, please excuse me and head me in the right direction.

I care for an elderly person with some incontinence difficulties and for years, we struggled to find the most suitable protective garment to deal with it. Finally we found the right item but in the process of trial and error, we have ended up with quite a stock of various incontinence products that we don't use. As far as I can remember, they're unisex so no gender restriction. My question simply is, are they of any use to anyone else? While most packets have been opened, the items themselves are perfect and to my mind, it's a sin to just dispose of them. I know this is a long shot but maybe some of you can think of someone who might be able to make use of them? I'm happy to transport them or pay for delivery, I'm in the Dublin area but the courier goes anywhere!

Thanks for any suggestions, I hope they're of help to someone. Just pm me if you prefer.

Would you try your local public nursing home? I know they are telling anyone going in for respite now to bring in their own incontinence materians - I bet they would be very glad of them.
You could always post them up on the free section in adverts.ie or jumbletown.ie also - someone is sure to be very grateful for them

I don't know where you are based but you could try any of the organisations for disability such as St. Micheals, St. Vincents, Enable Ireland etc.

Or your local Public Health Nurse

Public nursing is not allowed nor are carers allowed accepted open packages. Its no reflection on your honesty and genorisity its a precaution in case and designed to protect from infection control. Your only chance is people who pay for these privatly and i dont think this happens. Its something as far as i know the state provides.

Its terriable but its a reality which i understand.

I have given open packages in several occasions and there has never been a problem so it probably depends on who you are dealing with.

Oh my apologies. It has happened in a couple of places. But agree perhaps I was just unfortunate
