    Hey Guys,

Can someone please help me understand this Phosphate buffer recipe listed here: http://chemistry.about.com/od/acidsbases/a/phosphatebutter.htm

I dont really understand where he gets his values from, especially in Point 3,, the 1.096, the .0523 , .0477 etc... what is [acid] and [base]...

If someone could really help dum down this recipe for me, even further then it alredy is that would be really great as I have to use it to make up a different phosphate buffer.

    Thanks a million
