How's the snow in your part of the world?

Must've snowed quite heavily here during the night (Newcastle, county Dublin)

Inch of snow, sadly not enough to warrant not going to work and smoking/playing xbox all day.

Seems to be snowing all over the island. Did nobody inform mother nature it was February?

Car was frozen solid this morning under a blanket of snow. took me ages to hack it away.

Car park was an ice skating ring, you could turn the steering wheel right the way around with your baby finger on a standstill. pure ice.

Let me see, your location and the general geographical region you queried was mentioned in the following...

So my reply to the stupid assumption, that it never snows in Ireland during February was....
Since when did it never snow in February?

So OP, do you generally need everything spelled out for you, or are you just having a slow morning?

A light sprinkling in Sligo, we're the poor relation when it comes to getting snow. No such luck with rain though, we're surrounded by mountains and beside the sea so it's like a giant toilet when it comes to rain, we're always getting píssed on.

Heavy snow in Balbriggan this morning, was like a bloody blizzard, M1 motorway ans its access roads had not been gritted/salted as of 6.30 so it was treacherous between juntion 6 and the Services north of Junction 4.

Snow on the ground in Cobh, and on the airport hill in Cork.
    About 2cm, I'd say.

But the sun is out now, I don't expect it to hang around for long.

About 4 inches in Roscommon. Roads very bad.

The dog refuses to venture out, I'm afraid he'll piss himself in the kitchen.

    Cork City:

There have been some snow /sleet showers. Some slush lying on higher ground, especially northern facing sides of hills. South facing hills are totally snow free.

Nothing stuck but there's a nice sprinkling of snow of houses and greens / parks / grass margins etc.

It rained and it's melting rapidly. Quite sunny now.
    Not very exciting stuff!

Around the tubbercurry area we've got about an inch on snow, but absolutely lethal roads! My school is open "open", but less than 50% of students and less than 20% staff. Any forecasts on if it's gonna stay?

I was about to agree with you, but it fairness to most, the roads here are diabolical. Still though, it really doesn't take much to close this place. Whats really bad is that it coincides with the mocks, so most teachers are tied up in the exam halls.

Delgany in Wicklow. Light dusting. Nothing too serious. Roads all pretty well passable.
