Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If ever there was more of a reason to watch The Simpsons, it's Ralph.

I think the show would be far better if Phil Hartman were still there.

Always loved Groundskeeper Willie. A lowly gardener/maintenance man he may be but he clearly has the blood of William Wallace in his veins. Absolute legend!

+1 on Hank Scorpio. He should've been the villain in The Simpsons Movie. Same voice and character anyway so why not!?!?

Scorpio (after flinging his footwear away): Ever see a man say goodbye to his shoes before?

    Homer: Yes, once.

    +1 For Frank Grimes

The poor guy just can't get a break.

    Grampa Simpson

We can't bust heads like we used to. But we have our ways. One trick is to tell stories that don't go anywhere. Like the time I caught the ferry to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for m'shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt. Which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebeeson 'em. Gimme five bees for a quarter, you'd say. Now where was I... oh yeah! The important thing was that I had an onion tied to my belt, which was the style at the time. You couldn't get white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

    Reoccuring: Ralph

Occasional: Used to be lionel hutz or troy maclure. Now I'd say it's Gil.

One off: Hank Scorpio "I didn't even give you my coat!"

As minor characters go, I love the Cat Lady, she's just surreal!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,004 ✭✭✭Ann22

I love Nelson:) Outside of the family, he's my overall favourite character. I loved the episode where he took the hormone pills 'my arms are like hams!! Hams!':D ..and the one where Marge befriends him.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

I think the biggest chuckle I got from a once off character and couldn't find a picture of him is a Frank Sinatra guy

FS- "The Blonde broard got a point..we need a somethin' with a ring a ding ding"

Lisa - "get your arm off me"

FS - "On, this kittens got claws".

And with that he is gone.

Its from the episode where Bart gets Furious D. Brilliantly random episode.

with regard to once off characters has to be Hank Scorpio

regular re-occurring side characters is a bit harder so many to choose from: Willie, Chief Wiggum, Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure are definitely high on my list!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 477 ✭✭HHH

Once off either Hank Scorpio, Rex Banner or Larry Burns.

Re-occurring character would be Otto: "They call 'em fingers, but I never see 'em fing! Oh, there they go." Classic!
