It's a scam. Like the McAfee guys. Or the local STI clinic.

My favourite one of those type shows is A Haunting as it comes closest to Paranormal Activity, great stuff.

Spoofer, accompanied by a skittish woman who jumps out of her skin at the sight of anything. Hilarious indeed.

I do - have had many, many experiences that cannot be explained logically, no matter how hard I try.

As for ghosts - there is no such thing as ghosts.
    NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER!!!

If there was such a thing as ghosts wouldn't there be a lot of ghost cats, dogs and dinosaurs around too???

Ghosts are the result of a combination of brains that naturally see patterns (where there are and where there are none) and irrational minds.

Some of the experiences I've had, this is not the case alas.

    Give me an example

I have seen about three ghosts, which was a really surreal experience. Alongside this I've lived in two houses that were haunted, with one that definitely was (I wasn't the only person to witness some of the weird things that happened).

However if you want some examples, here you are:

One night my then-girlfriend and I were watching a movie in my bedroom, when suddenly a speaker on the TV fell to the ground with a thud, then got pulled along the ground a few inches - we could hear it moving across the carpet. You could argue the speaker had fallen for a number of reasons, but there was no reason why it should have been pulled across the floor like it did.

Another night I was in bed with my window open - nobody else was in the house except me. Suddenly the door gets kicked open - my first reaction is to jump up and listen, making sure nobody had came in the front door, which could have caused a draught (but probably not strong enough to blow open a door as forcibly as that, especially when there was little or no wind), but couldn't hear anything. Got back into bed, fully awake, when I could feel what seemed like hands against my face, pulling me to look at whatever it was.

If you can give logical explanations for those, excellent. I never jump to the conclusion that it was a ghost, because I know the majority of the time they aren't, but I can't figure out those. And that's only two of many, many, many more examples that had happened through my life.

I completely believe you! I've seen a ghost too

It was years ago. I was staying with my great aunt in Connemara. It was a big house, miles from anywhere. During the great famine, a cruel landlord and his beautiful daughter lived there. The story goes he forbade the daughter from marrying a young soldier, it broke her heart and in her despair she hung herself in the bedroom - the room that I was staying in was that very bedroom.

I remember it was icy cold, lit by a single candle. I was drifting off to sleep when suddenly I heard a strange creaking noise.

I was terrified, grabbed my phone and took a picture to try and use the flash as a light. This is how the picture turned out.

You heard it moving across the carpet, and you want a logical explanation for something you didn't witness. Yep, must have been a ghost alright :)

This is called the chimney effect, your open window caused warm air to funnel towards the vent it was, forcing the door open dramatically on its way. The play of air on your face would feel like being touched, if you're that way inclined to explain it, and even a gentle breeze can gather momentum in the funnelling effect.
If you can give logical explanations for those, excellent. I never jump to the conclusion that it was a ghost, because I know the majority of the time they aren't, but I can't figure out those. And that's only two of many, many, many more examples that had happened through my life.

I don't believe in ghosts, there's always an explanation. Even if it isn't immediately apparent.

If I were a skeptic, I would have doubts as to whether or not they exist.

    But I don't. I know they don't exist. Therefore I'm not a skeptic.
