Very nice Heavy sleet shower recently quickly turned to full on wet blizzard like fluffy snow. Back to sleet and snow mix right now and accumulating slightly of rooves, cars and grass. Weather station on the blink after changing batteries a few hours ago so no idea what the temperature is......very annoyingly!

Rocky Bay

A blizzard warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for NYC from 6:00a. Friday, 8/2/13 to 1:00p. Saturday 9/2/13. Snow fall between 12 to 18 inches with higher amounts possible locally. Wind gusts up to 45mph. At 6:00a. I was standing on the Long Island Rail Road platform in Woodside, quiet and calm with no wind or precipitation perceptible, temperature at 0c.
Now at work in Penn Station barely an hour later, I was out on 31st Street between 8th Ave. and 7th Ave. just before 7:00a. the wind has picked up considerably and it is snowing although not sticking at this time.

Temp is 6c and its Wet Miserable and more Flooding in north meath, it seems like we never catch a break here at all with the rain in north leinster, looking at the charts it seemed to intensify as it crossed the coutry and dump on us.</p>
