    Gulden Draak for special occasions.
    Weihenstephaner Vitus for sessions.
Stonewell Medium Dry when I'm thirsty.
    Coffee for during the day.
    Tea for at night.
Sparkling water when I'm too caffeinated.

Edit: And a flat white for those mornings I'm feeling a little delicate.

Buckfast. I like the way it sets off my manicure.

Have never heard of any of those drinks

I'm a beer drinker, but if I've a long night ahead of me, I vary between vodka and orange or captain morgan and orange.

I like white wine for nights in.

Coffee for any time that I'm not drinking alcohol :P

Gulden Draak is a Belgian ale with a high percentage of alcohol, over 10% I believe. Once you go higher than that beers become a novelty but this is quite good.

Weihenstephaner make wheat beers. The Vitus is the best of what they make.

Stonewell is a cider from Kinsale. Definitely the nicest cider I have ever had. Blows Bulmers out of the water.

Edit: I should probably add that I really like Martinis in a good cocktail bar. Has to have olives though. None of this lemon twist messing about.

I've only had this recently and I agree, it's delicious! I'm not a cider drinker but it almost tastes more like a perry. It doesn't taste a bit like Bulmers.

Usually I'll have red wine (shiraz or pinot noir, especially) or white in the summer (gewurztraminer & gruner veltliner I love!) or sometimes a G&T if I'm feeling posh ;)

Couple of glasses of white wine (im not fussy but do like organic wines) to start, gin and tonic to continue.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,772 ✭✭✭✭Whispered

Red wine when I'm sitting in, or having a quiet dinner out.
White wine when I'm sitting in, or having dinner out which will be followed by a trip to another pub.
I recently discovered Bud light. And had my first ever pint EVER 2 weeks ago (will not be making a habit of that one because I don't remember a lot of that night)
I do like Strawberry and Lime, but I can't have more than 2 bottles or I start to feel a bit ill, so that's nice when I'm having one or two drinks outside on a hot day. I also like tequila beer for hot days outside.
I don't really drink shorts when I'm out. They're too expensive and I drink them too quickly, end up sick and/or crying. I do like shorts when I'm at home though, or in my parents house, especially a bit of whisky or poitin with orange.
Oh and if I'm in a cocktail bar, I like a whisky sour.

    There is waaay too many!

    Tea in general
    Soft drink would be 7up
Lager: Either Bud or Miller and Desperados when I find it :p
Spirit: The father's own Puitín ;)
    Stout: Has to be Guinness!
Cocktail: Long Island Ice Tea! It has a mix of everything!!
Wine: Red, White, Rosé.. OH MY! I'll drink it all!

There's too many! I love trying new drinks and making my own concoctions with friends.

I have a thing for bubbles. Love soft drinks.

    Ginger ale
    Fentimans cola
    Sparkling cranberry
    Diet 7up

I don't drink alcohol much but alcoholic drinks I like are

    Glenmorangie 10 year scotch
    Auchentoshan scotch
    Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer
And if I'm in a pub they don't always have those so I'd go with Southern Comfort & ginger ale.

I don't drink regular tea or coffee, so my hot drink of choice is either orange cordial made with hot water, or chai latte if I'm out. Nom.

I don't like Bulmers either. Have you tried Stella Cidre at all? Much nicer than Bulmers.

Southy and lime topped off with loads of ice.

My OH has a problem where he can never remember my drink order :p So if he's buying I end up with a gin and tonic every time. They're growing on me though!

If I'm sitting in I'll have some nice beers, usually get a mix from the off-licence. Brooklyn Brewery summer ale, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Torpedo are current favourites!

Right now its Bacardi Oakheart and coke, its delicious!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,091 ✭✭✭catrionanic

    Sauvignon blanc, always a winner!

Recently introduced to raspberry Bacardi Razz, very tasty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

I love beer. The current favourites are Blue Moon, Old Speckled Hen, Trouble Ór, Metalman, Dungarvan Helvick Gold, O'Hara's Red Ale... so many good beers, so little time!

Also love a good red wine, particularly big Spanish riojas and preferably accompanied by a rare steak :D

Not a huge fan of cocktails in general, but I love a proper mojito.

On the non-alcoholic side of things, I love ginger ale or fruit juice.

Hoegaarden, for the cool bucket glass & the chance to sing "I beg your pardon, I never promised you a ho-eh-garden...' At people all night

First and foremost, tea. Such a comforting drink.

I'm a bit of a wino, I have to admit. White wine would be usually what I would drink. I really like gin and orange juice too. Generally not a huge fan of cocktails, but my friends and I sometimes make cosmopolitans, which go down nicely. During the summer, if it's a hot day, it can be nice and refreshing.

Can't drink beer or too much cider, and drinks like rum and Coke make me sick to my stomach. I have a friend who uses WKD as a mixer for port. I tried it once and nearly puked my guts up.

In order of how much I'm feeling like a drink:
    Southie
    Southie and lime with ice
    Southie and red
    Druids
    Desperados
    Coffee
    Tea

I can't stand wine or Jack Daniels/Jim Bean. They make me feel genuinely sick.

    Jagerbombs, 6 in the club

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,154 ✭✭✭Dolbert

I love a glass of wine with dinner, don't know too much about different wines though.
I like a vodka, soda water & lime if I'm out for the night, with a good quality vodka if possible. I find diet coke as a mixer too sickly.
Soda & lime on it's own is nice if I'm not drinking :)
I like a good weissbier or lager but I can't drink much of it, I feel too bloated.
And during the working week, just hook the black coffee to my veins...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,091 ✭✭✭hattoncracker

The new elderflower and lime kopparberg... Nyom!! Great for after work.

    My favourite cocktails are
Long island iced teas and whiskey sours..

When I'm out for dinner I would drink white wine spritsers!

A pot of orange and lotusflower green tea.. I dont drink regular tea or coffee..

I like how there's so much more choice of beers around the place these days. Tesco's 5 for a tenner is a handy way of trying out new ones.

    OOOOOH!!! :):):)

Decent beers/ales are what I primarily go for. On the hols it's usually a nice (bottle or two of) good red wine.

Tea tends to be Earl Grey or Chai or Keemun.

    Water (fizzy mostly) otherwise.

The frustrated tears of rejected men.... :pac: :D

Hobgoblin beer, it's just so tasty and becoming more available, which is awesome.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,094 ✭✭✭The Cool

Another fan of the Strawberry and Lime here, it's delicious! Can only ever have one or two though because they're really sweet. So yummy though!

Generally, it's rum and coke on a night out, Bulmers for pubbing, a nice Merlot if I'm sitting in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,624 ✭✭✭✭meeeeh

G&t or jameson when out. Water if not drinking. I try to match wine with food but I prefer those with a kick so I tend to avoid Roses . I don't drink sweet drinks. Sometimes I'd have Carlsberg but I'm not big beer drinker.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,207 ✭✭✭jaffacakesyum

I love water for when you're really thirsty! Or after working out.

I drink an insane amount of tea.

If we're talking alcohol, I LOVE my beer. Craft beers are the best. Would love to see at least one craft beer on tap in every pub. Even if I'm the designated driver I will have a non-alcoholic beer. I don't know how non-drinkers can have 5 or 6 Cokes on a night out. Not a big soft drink kinda gal. Too much sugar!

That said I love my whiskey so inevitably I have to mix it with something if I don't want to get too drunk :pac:

    G&T
    Vodka and coke
The odd cider. Kopparberg is far too sweet though, though having one is nice.
    The odd mojito

    I hardly ever drink though.

I'm a fiend for fizzy drinks. I love a can of Coke on my break at work. At home now I'm having some sparkling water with Robinsons cordial for some fizz!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,238 ✭✭✭javagal

    If I'm out,mostly cocktails.
At home, west coast cooler rose or a glass of rose with 7up.
I like to have a drink and get tipsy but I despise getting drunk hence the Spitzers!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,962 ✭✭✭✭dark crystal

I'm not a big drinker at all any more, but if I'm at home and fancy something alcoholic, or I'm over at someone's house, I'll have a few glasses of cava or prosecco. Can't afford real champagne on my budget, although I love it!

If I'm out (which is rare enough nowadays), I'd just drink pints of Budweiser. They're cheap, last longer than wine and I like the taste of Bud compared to other lagers. Once in a while I'll have a glass or two of Guinness, but only in certain bars - the Guinness in some places can be pure mank.

    Budweiser  *shudders*

I don't know why I do this to myself but whenever I'm abroad I make sure to try a pint of Guinness to see how horrible it is compared to home :pac:

I like lots of drinks so it depends what mood I'm in really.

I like white wine - Pinot Grigio or Sauv Blanc if I'm out for dinner or in someone's house

West Coast Cooler Rose if I'm at home

Captain Morgans & Orange/ Vodka with lime & white/ G&T/ West Coast Cooler if I'm in a pub

My favourite shot would be baby Guinness but will drink jagerbombs too

Oh and I'll never say no to a glass of champagne!

I LOVE Rekorderlig. But can't drink more than like 2 at a time...too sweet and fizzy!

I have got really into gin and tonic lately. Which is weird, because I used to despise the stuff. I was in Paris with my Dad the summer before last on a very hot day and he got me a g&t and since then I love it. Think I associate it with the refreshment of having a cold drink in hot weather :P

I like red wine a lot but haven't drank it in a year and a half because I have (clear) braces and red wine will stain them :o

LOVE mojitos...another acquired taste for me.

Never got into beer. I'll drink one if someone hands me one or it's the only thing going, but takes me about half an hour to drink a can!

I drink some whiskeys too but had a bad enough experience with it there a few months ago so kinda avoiding it since..

I really like malibu because I love all things coconutty...my friends take the piss outta when I drink it though because it's a bit of a "teenage" thing...OH WELL!
