Nutritional information for Aldi rashers

I was trying to find out how much protein was in a rasher that I bought from Aldi (it doesn't say on the packet) and I found this link http://www.fatsecret.com/Diary.aspx?pa=fjrd&rid=2088514

Could that be right, 16g of protein for one 30g rasher? Every other piece of information is taken straight form the packet (calories and fat are correct) but I'm a bit skeptical about the number for protein.

    Yeh that probably isn't correct.

What I usually do if I can't find the exact product is look at a similar product.

It'll probably only be 1 or 2g of a difference.

Same here, if you look on tesco's site they have nutritional info for lots of items, I would usually check a few out. mysupermarket.co.uk have some too.

Tesco finest rashers are 21.7% protein raw. 26.8% when cooked, as the water boils/cooks off it concentrates the rest.

I spot loads of mistakes in online 3rd party quotes, esp. for alcohol, it should be obvious if people putting them had a clue.

I think a lot of the time people keying them in mix up the "Per Portion" and "Per 100gram" values, sometimes mixing and matching the two.

FWIW MyFitnessPal says Glenview Rashers have 6grams of protein per rasher. Although it says they're from Lidl rather than Aldi?

It's also funny when you scan by barcode with the MFP app and the barcode belongs to the same product by a completely different brand. The shops are obviously using the same supplier for their own brand stuff and the suppliers use the same barcode number for all the different shops. In these cases the values can be quite different to the values on the label.
