Kicking off the thread nice an early with an active mod risk across Arkansas .

Some tornado warnings already issued but no reports of anything touching down just yet.

Things should get going in the next few hours as conditions become more favourable for tornadoes.

Emergency manager and NWS confirms.... approx. 100 vehicles flipped or launched at exit 306. in Adairsville, GA. Wow..

Having checked the map its probably the same tornado

I just read there was a fatality at a mobile home site, adairsville GA,

there was also reports of 60 people trapped in motel, same area

There may not be a tornado involved but severe storms are approaching Orlando FL with live coverage of the final round of the Arnold Palmer golf tournament on TV here, see if you have it there as the storms are now about 90 min away due west heading east. Good golf tournament too.

(edit ... the course was cleared of spectators and players shortly after I posted this, then a violent storm hit around 1830 UT, and weather reports around the region feature wind gusts to 65 mph and tornado reports to the north of the golf course, with a second cell poised to move through soon ... coverage has been suspended due to a power failure on the site, you may see some of this on the sports news later ... play may resume around 2100h UT for whatever remains of daylight).

Me and the lads the went to the states have our own virtual chase group where we follow the models and do as it says " virtually chase" . We currently have put in our sleep over positions for 2moro's potential whilst also having tuesday ( main risk day ) in our mind for location.

So heres my spot for tonight! ... WHERES YOURS?

For me my rest spot for the night would be Woodword , OK .
Decent enough road network to relocate come morning, on the the edge of some decent instability and right in the middle for cape red zone. CAP looks fairly weak compared to further east . Further into Kansas does look tempting for an easier storm to fire but my feeling for a potential nado/ nados lies in OK with the more favourable energy helicity indices .

Remember hearing it come up on the radio , we were only about 40/50 miles away when this tornado touched down. Was horrible seeing / hearing all the footage come in.

Yeah , been risking it as the cap is stronger down south but if it gets busted there could be some strong nados!

Moderate risk of severe thunderstorms tomorrow through Oklahoma as well as parts of Texas, Kansas and Missouri. Could be an interesting day. Oklahoma City and Tulsa are both in the moderate risk area.

I've been virtually enjoying my dinner in the Guest Inn in Norman , OK .
All set up to go for 2moro , not looking as good as on earlier models with some Cap issues but shall see what the clouds are like in the morning, hopefully either just some low level CU or clear all the way up .

, do not want to see high thick layer of cirrus . ( cap thickening ) .

Liking this mornings runs!!

COuld be some serious tornadoes today , all in the scary area near OKC .

I'm virtually just getting up now , shower and heading down for a small breaky , then back to check all camera gear and double check the models before i go.

I expect things to kick off just to the SW of NORMAN and so have set a target for Lawton , stopping just before the city at the lake and set up a timelapse , but once a decent organised line of cumulus start to form then ill be ready to move East / NE.

Yep, looks tornadic for OKC region and Norman (which is south of OKC) in about two or three hours' time. Let's hope the storms stay out of highly populated areas but it looks rather ominous.

Never seen a tornado develop from the air before, amazing footage though unfortunately looks to be doing a lot of damage, a lot of power flashes visible.
