Protein intake advice

    How often should i be taking my protein shake? Getting lots of different opinions.

    1 Shake per day - 24g

    2 shakes per day when training - 48g

    is this about right ? just looking to burn fat and build muscle slightly.

    currently weighing around 14 1/2 stone.

    Depends what the rest of your diet looks like tbh.

    some days 3 eggs for breakfast , somedays porridge.

    chicken , beef or eggs for lunch.

    fish , chicken , meat or eggs for dinner.

    usually get protein in 2 of my 3 meals a day

    Work your diet out in terms of calories and macros.

    I think the guideline is 1g of protein per lb of body weight.

    If you are hitting than then all well and good. If not, add the shakes.

    Im afraid to ask probably feel stupid when you answer but .. macros??

    macros - breakdown of carbs, fats, protein in your diet. Eg 40%/40%/20%

    depends on your height/weight your goals..are you trying to lose weight or gain...make sure you have healthy fats is the most important thing
