    Hello,
Just wondering should one only have these on rare occasions or are they good to have frequently? I find when I have a stiry fry or curry I tend to eat a way more vegetables and protein than I normally would, its only really the sauces that i'd be worried about. Usually just have a large chicken fillet and throw in a tonne of veg and then some rice. Not really on a diet or anything, although i'll be aiming to bulk up a bit when I get back into the gym in the next few weeks.
    Thanks

Stir Frys are really healthy so long as you don't drown them in sauces and oils. You don't need them for flavour imo.

As you say, bulk it up with veg, as much variety and colour and lots of protein. My stir frys are MAMMOTH!

I use a bit of garlic, ground ginger and low salt soy sauce to flavour mine up. Maybe a wee bit of oyster sauce if I'm in the mood.

As I said, a small amount of oil for cooking and you're set!

For currys make your own sauce so you know what's in it.

Thanks, will have to try start adding some spcies etc instead of the sauces. I never really found the sauces that come with stir frys that tasty, but Uncle Ben's. My god i could eat jars of that stuff.

I missed the curry bit! Here's a recipe for a gorgeous korma that's fairly healthy!

I've made it and can testify it's gorgeous! I add in loads of veg too!

A lot of the pre made Chinese sauces are heavily sugar based. Have a read of the label the next time you pick up a jar.

would apple cider vinegar be heavy calorie wise?

most of it seems to evaporate in the pan, but I toss it in there anyway to avoid stuff burning
