    Alfa GTV comes to mind, something with a clamshell bonnet that closes over the headlights anyway.

    I actually forgot that the sintra existed even though I saw plenty of the chevrolet when I was in the US.

    It reminds me of an early Lada Samara, the way the nose of the car is just stuck on the front

    I think it was only on the higher spec models. It's not a Lada

    No to all of these.

    This car wasn't available in Europe. It was developed with another manufacturer who made their own very similar version and that was available here

    It does look like the Renault AMC/Eagle Medallion body panels (Renault 21) but the lights are different.
