Right. Using the list here (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,113948.0.html) I pulled a random number of 31 which led me to Carnival.

Default Settings.

- Last day is Sunday 10th February 2013.

General Rules:

- Highest score wins.

- No savestates, savestate practices, etc. during the round.

- MAME INP recordings are encouraged but optional.

- A screenshot is required to enter a score (press F12 to save screenshot showing your final score) or take a photo of the game screen.

- Use of autofire or other non-standard hacks within MAME or your PC's OS are not allowed.

The goal of the game is to shoot at targets, while carefully avoiding running out of bullets. Three rows of targets scroll across the screen in alternating directions; these include rabbits, ducks, owls, and bonus items. If a duck target crosses the bottom row without being shot, it will come to life and begin flying down toward the player. Any ducks that reach the bottom of the screen in this manner will eat some of the player's bullets. Objects also periodically appear among the targets that will give the player extra bullets or points when hit. A spinning wheel with eight pipes sits above the rows of moving targets; these pipes and all targets must be shot in order to complete the round.

At the end of each round, the player receives bonus points for all bullets remaining in his supply. He then plays a bonus round, where a large white bear with a target walks across the screen. Each time the bear is shot, it rears up for a second, then begins walking more quickly in the other direction. The object is to shoot the bear as many times as possible until it escapes off the screen. Following the bonus round, the next wave begins. Later bonus rounds add more bears to the screen.

Yep that tune will be going through my head all night.
Gets easier when you realize what you are and are not supposed to hit.

Only could get 7900 after about 7 credits.

liking this , cant top 6500 though , need practice

Got 10180 on my 4 or 5th credit.
Theres a way to get crazy bonuses.
I think if you shoot the pipes in order by colour or something.
You can also lose a lot of points somehow.See the box with +500 in it,
any body seen a + sign with a counter bar there?I've no idea what it does.
Looks like the symbol for health?????

Has anyone gotten past the second round?
I had one letter left to get but kept missing then more and more ducks spawned.pain in the swiss!

I think my last score was round 3. Not an easy game.

Can't figure out the scoring in this at all! Most I've gotten is 3000 points because I keep losing them for some reason.

And wtf are the pipes at the top for?

Someone needs to get in here and do some FAQs on this

There is a FAQ for the Colecvision on Gamefaqs, that will explain a lot, even thought its not on the same format. The pipes and the strange box on the top left of the screen will be explained.

The main aim is to conserve ammo with a high hit rate and gain ammo where you can.

Get rid of the pipes first, the score for them goes down the longer you leave them there, also if you shoot the same colour pipe in a row you get more points.

If you get the word B O N U S in order you get an er.... Bonus score.

Take your time as you only lose bullets when you shoot.

Well that's all I got from my games and I'm well down the high score list. The others are keeping their secrets to themselves

I just figured out how to turn off the music in the game by shooting the musical note on the far right. :rolleyes:

I thought that a few more people would have been posting high scores when the faq was revealed, we'll see tomorrow, the competition ends at midnight tomorrow.
