Had a baby, new diet

    Hey all,

I had a baby a few months ago and during my pregnancy i put on nearly 6- yes 6 STONE. basically i considered it feeding day at the zoo for 5 months. Half of that dropped off within a month, and i plateaued at 13 stone for around 3 months. Realised i'd have to put the effort in for the rest.

I'm 5'10 and used to be quite slim and very lean with decent muscle tone, i exercised regularly and ate well. I normally wavered from 10- 10.5 stone and i would like to get back there.

Things are far more wobbly than before obviously, but i had a c-section and i've heard it's more difficult to regain the former tum, as the muscle had to be cut, i'm doing light enough exercise (crunches, press ups, toning exercises, energetic walks with the pram). but not really up to much heavy stuff yet (joints are sore from weight gain, esp knees)

I took some advice with diets but i figured the best was to go for the long term healthy route as i've a new baby who takes 99% of my time.
So breakfast for the last month has been porridge with raisins, lunch tuna on brown bread/ can of beans/ salad etc and dinner is always homemade soup with beans/ lentils with brown bread & salad. its worked fine so far, i think i've lost some weight (not weighing myself till feb).

Also the diet isn't overtaking my life so if i go out to dinner, i will eat, i went for a drink the other day and had a pint, that kind of stuff, otherwise i'll just crave the wrong thing.
Thing is i went for dinner yesterday at my aunts who made a green curry, and as soon as i got home i'd broken out in hives, this evening i had planned to take my mum to eddie rockets (had done for a while) and i'm having really strong stomach cramps, so i can't sleep.
I think its the food i've been eating- there's been no rich food/ unhealthy/ creamy/ so i think it might just be a reaction as my body was getting used to all the healthy things. I'm no nutritionist but does this sound about right? These cramps are painful:(

God just realised this is a long post....sorry

Could be food poisoning from eating something that was off, stomach cramps happen for this. Go to your GP if you are concerned.
