What vitamins/minerals do women need most?

Was just wondering if anyone knew what vitamins/minerals women need more of?

I heard that cal/mag for women and iron are especially important and that the likes of zinc/magnesium are more required by men.

I take a Wellwoman multivitamin but as with most multivits I don't know if I'm getting the most of what I need in the correct quantities and too much of maybe what I don't need.

If anyone has any opinions on more female necessary vitamins/minerals it would be much appreciated.

Zinc, magnesium, calsium, Vitamin D, B and A are all good. Not sure about the amounts though. Usually those multivitamin tablets have all you need in one tablet so I wouldn't worry about that too much. You shouldn't be taking iron unless you've been told so by the doctor, high iron levels are just as bad as low iron levels. :) Iron is important for women because we get periods and those with heavy periods might have lower iron levels but you won't really know unless you get a blood test done.
