If we beat quinns it will be some desperate fight to get past the next game. Clermont will be favarioutes to win it now.

    Good draw for ulster.
    Crap for Munster though.. :(

Dream draw for Clermont really. They should beat Monty at SMM and you'd back them as comfortable favourites against Quins or Munster.

Looks like we are going to have to win it the hard way then :D

Do they do the Amin draw also?

    Wasps/Leinster vs Gloucester/Biarritz

Dream draw for Leinster, avoiding Toulouse or USAP.

    Lovely draw for Leinster there.

Delighted with that from a Leinster POV. Aviva for the semi I wonder?

Would love a crack at Biarritz, think we'd hockey them.

Awful draw for Munster. If they beat Harlequins the'd be most likely be away to Clermont.

Love to see a Clermont v Ulster final.

Great draw for Leinster, get booking Amlin final tickets. I think I'll hold off on looking for HEC final tickets yet :-P

If the Amlin final is Leinster v Toulouse should it be moved to Lansdowne??

    Montpellier
Great draw for Leinster, also delighted Clermont got a nice draw. They've been too good not to win it and I hope they can make the breakthrough this year.

An Ulster vs Clermont final and a Leinster vs whoever final in Dublin would be a great weekend for Irish rugby. Unfortunately I can't see Munster being involved but hey, to the brave and faithful nothing is impossible :-)

HC Final Ulster v Clermont - Ulster to win

Amlin Final Leinster v Perpignan - Leinster to win

Not sure. Could they hold it the night before the HC final in the same stadium?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,906 ✭✭✭jamiedav2011

Would be highly unlikely that they even can move it at this stage, give tickets have already almost sold out.

Amlin final of Leinster Toulose would be unreal, just like old times.

Ulster Clermont the next day. Atmosphere in Dublin would be unreal.

It won't be moved. RDS is the venue and tickets have already been sold.

I wonder what would have happened had both Ulster and Munster been drawn with home semis? One in Aviva, one in Croke Park?

Imagine the atmosphere in the RDS for a Leinster Toulouse final on a balmy May eve, with Clermont and Ulster in the other final, and a Rabo final to look forward to the next week.

    Things are looking up!

    Montpellier
Clermont won't break a sweat making this final, and then they get to play it in a ground they've already won in, handy for them!

Two in Aviva on same weekend surely? Or would it be feasible?

Just bought my tickets, only North and South stands left available, €25 a ticket

You have to beat the best to be the best. Munster will fear no one and rightly so.

Looks like the two biggest teams in Europe, with 7 trophies between them, will be contesting the Amlin final barring upsets.

That would dwarf any Heineken Cup final.

Could never see Munster getting past Quins, but even with a fluke they would be mauled alive in Clermont. Probably in their own interest not to win that quarter!

Would love to see an Ulster v Clermont final.

Is Thomond high enough capacity to host a semi?If so,surely Ulster would play there and Munster would take the Aviva.

There was talk in 10/11 about two games on the same weekend not being feasible but that might have been because the pitch had to be kept pristine for the Europa League final a few weeks later

I think Ulster would object to their fans travelling down to Limerick rather than Dublin.

    Anyway it's all hypothetical...

The QF? The 4/5/6/7th of April

Hoping its not on the Thursday.

Flights to it won't be cheap seeing as we'll have Ulster and Munster playing in London on the same weekend
