No no it really. Brands like ON have more expensive advertising and more middle men. MyProtein sells direct so can be cheaper

    No,

Maximuscle have a great PR image.. but their stuff is just as good as ProX or PhD protein.

Its a Marketing business.. just cos you see something Cheap your mind would say oh that must be Crap.. Or the other way around. Thats x amount and this stuff is cheaper the x amount most be better this is not the case.

myProtein is cheap yes but their stuff is meant to be good. At the end of the Day Protein is Protein what makes the differences is does it have the amino acids or the BCAA's within the product..

But then again if you want the best value of anything. your best bet is to buy them all... get your Pure Protein not else but the protein buy your BCAA's and your Amino acids

i use Holland & barrett protein buy 1 get the other for a cent cant go wrong their.

for my Recovery Drink i use Kinetica

Come on folks, this is easy. Compare protein contents and other nutritional information across these. They're made easy for you by being readily available and pretty much identical products!

    MyProtein Kinetica Optimum Nutrition
    100g 100g 100g
    Energy Kcal 393.2 395 378
    Energy Kj 1,656 1,653 1,584
    Protein (dry basis) g 82 72 81.6
    Protein (as-is) g 78.4
    Fat g 6.8 8.5 3.3
    (saturates) g 6.1 2.1
    Carbohydrates g 6 7.6 5.5
    (sugars) g 5.1 4.2
    Calcium mg 500
    Cholesterol mg 2
    Fibre g 2.8 0
    Sodium g 0.16 0.255

Myprotein Impact Whey (Choc) - £16 per kg

Kinetica Whey (Choc) - £35 per kg
Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard (Choc) - £27 per kg

    ON > MyProtein > Kinetica

Price wins for me though, ON not worth the extra 50% per Kg.

(edit: note that the MyProtein protein content is artificially high by about 8% - says so on their site, I missed it. They have the protein content for unflavoured. Not sure if that's the same for the others)
