I have apple TV. I want a simple 2 room setup to hook up ceiling speakers in 2 rooms that will connect to the Apple TV. I know nothing about this and am looking for advice. You could use a 2 zone av-receiver and also a 1in - 2out hdmi splitter and run hdmi cables to each zone.

use the 5.1 for zone 1, and the 6/7 channels on the receiver as zone 2.
