So its 5:09am and I'm awake as I have been since last Friday night. But not because I have work or any other commitments. Simply because I can't sleep!

Now this week has possibly been my best week for committing to training. I've trained everyday this week for about 45-90mins. I can't understand why I can't sleep. I've pushed myself to the absolute max this week.

And I know my gains are suffering from the lack of sleep. From 9pm or so to 7am I don't eat. So I'm bound to be catabolic, but I really don't care about that right now.

All I wanna know is why cant I f***ing sleep?!

    Stress most likely

    What time do you train?
When do you turn off your computer/TV?

You've trained everyday? You are probably over tired.

Roughly half 3 most days but some days it could be 6/ half past.
Before my hole sleeping issue I turned everything off about midnight but now since I can't sleep whatsoever I get bored and leave everything on to try pass time.

It could easily be stress. Before christmas I think my cortisol went messed up and no matter what I couldn't sleep at night but I was also getting really dizzy. That wasn't from emotional stress too, it was mainly from my body being under stress.

I think without knowing nearly every detail of your day we're not going to be able to say why you can't sleep but you could try relaxing for the weekend, have a beer or two tonight and turn off everything and keep it off. Relaxing might take more than a night.

Whatever the cause of it is could've started weeks before you couldn't sleep but only really built up bad enough last week.

Some things that might help melatonin, magnesium, glycine, camomile, valerian. Do the research on them all before trying. Itunes has loads of free relaxing\sleep podcasts that can really help get you off to sleep.
