Is eating too much tuna actually dangerous

I've read a lot about the risk of mercury poisoning from eating tuna, I eat on average a can a day, some days I might have two, other days none. They have great protein content and are low in fat especially when you use tuna in water. So I suppose my question is am I at any sort of risk if I suddenly eat at the very minimum a can a day?

    Thanks.

All the official dietary guidelines for tuna apply to women of childbearing age and young children only. So unless you fall into one of those categories I wouldn't worry too much about it...
