Take a good look at the irish political system. Realise how stupid it is. Spot the obvious reforms to make the country a better place so go and create a new political movement to promote these ideals. In 2 weeks you'll be all set to slip back into your crappy day job when no one cares!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do what you would have done when you were ten with no curfew, access to money, porn, lapdancing clubs and possibly a car.

I did it the other week. Ate 16 sherbert fountains and got the trots. Some craic

Lie in, go for brunch, visit people, go for lunch, go to the dentist, hair dresser, beautician, sort your paperwork, go to the library and read some books, go to a museum, art gallery, see New Grange, go see the Marble Arch Caves in Fermanagh, Cliffs of Moher, kiss the Blarney Stone, go buy some clothes, but most of all visit people!

Ooooh I wish I was you right now!

Get a big black marker and add zero's to all the speed limit signs in your area. I always get fooled by them and think I'm allowed to go 800km/h

Write that Great Irish Novel that all folk here have inside them.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Of the 5 days you will have left, keep 2 of them for around Paddy's Day. March 17th is on a Sunday, so Monday 18th is a bank holiday. Take Friday 15th and Tuesday 19th off. You'll be finishing on Thursday and not back until following Wednesday. Happy Days.

    Vacuum under the sofa.

Then pack some clean underwear and a toothbrush, get in your car, and keep driving until you hit a nice looking hotel. Come home by a different route.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,578 ✭✭✭monkeysnapper

why dont you pack a bag, and travel the country.

I had a week off years ago and just packed a bag, just drove for like hours and tried to find out who i was and what I was put here to do.

There was a voice that kept on calling me, Down the road, that's where I'll always be.
Every stop I made, I made a new friend,
Couldn't stay for long, just turned around and I'd be gone again

I thought then maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down,
Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

Saw 'Gangster Squad' last night, was very good; it could be an idea for one of the days. Otherwise it might be nice to do something you wouldn't usually do. You could take a spontaneous city trip somewhere for two or three nights?

I'd agree with packing a bag and driving around Ireland. We did that a few years ago and had great craic. No plan...just drove. Ended up in the middle of the week spending a night in (dont laugh) Clonmel :D, acted like tourists and were treated very well.

We live 90 minutes from Clonmel and I'd never been there :(
So many lovely places to see OP...just do it.

    Voluntary Work &/or Travel!

I was informed my place of work would be closed mid-week for 5-weeks & I initially felt the same as yourself wondering what I'd do to fill the time.
Now: 3 of those weeks will be spent travelling abroad mid-week and working week-ends; this week I completed a Personal Cycling Challenge and just chillaxed catching up with everything; leaves me with 5-days in the 1st week in February left to fill. May travel again, but waiting on news re:voluntary work so hoping for that :)

    So Options:
    ~ Travel
~ Catch up with anything you have to complete
    ~ Do some Voluntary Work

Kick Back & Have Fun regardless of what you end of doing, or where-ever you find yourself!

I'm not sure that's totally random.

I'm not sure any human action can truly be totally random if we're being honest. Or every human action is totally random, I'll leave you to decide.

The selection of the numbers is random, as there's no predetermined order to them.
